| a great bag, light and compressible. i can't deal with super tight bags and this one has just enough space for me to be comfortable (not minimalist enough, i guess). Don't expect to toss and turn too easily though. Temperature wise... so far I only used it in conditions from about 30 to 40 degrees, basically just opening up the zipper more or less to let warmth escape works very well. Zipper works easy and doesn't stick, so adjustment in the dark is easy even when half sleeping. I expect the bag to be comfy warm at the spec 15F. everything is very well made ... the best bag i owned so far. If you're counting every ounce you might invest in a Helium: 11 ounces lighter and maybe a tad more compressible. | |

| After years of using synthetic fill, this down filled beauty is what I needed. Spread it out next to a comparably rated (by temp) synthetic fill bag and you will see right away that it's going to be warmer - and it is. Light. Packs small. Great features, including the draft collar. Lately I've needed more warmth in a bag and I have been sleeping much better since I've been using this one. Used it on summer climbs of Rainier (but still like 30 deg F at night). Other trips too. At 15 deg I'd probably still need something a little warmer (but that's just me), but the warmer bags get bulkier and heavier for those lower temps. | |
