The Girls Precip Jacket by Marmot was designed with Dry Touch Technology, micro-porous polyurethane that allows sweat vapor to pass outward without allowing rain in. This hooded waterproof hard shell is perfect for getting to school dry on rainy days, on or for a day out on the slopes. Stylish and fully functional, this PreCip rain jacket is the lightest, most compressible, waterproof and breathable raingear in the world. This jacket is 100% seam sealed giving the best in water guard protection from severe torrential downpours or backyard garden hoses. The Full visibility hood with integral collar adds versatility while the Pack Pockets provide convenience, giving you easy access into the chest pockets while backpacking. When it starts raining cats, dogs and even a few lions, the Double storm flap over the zipper with Snap/Velcro closure will give extra guarded protection from these harsh, metaphorical conditions. The Angel-Wing Movement allows full range of motion in arms so the jacket doesn't ride up and the versatile design fits comfortably over a fleece or a soft-shell for layering.
FEATURES of the Girls PerCip Jacket by Marmot
SPECIFICATIONS:

The Precip Jacket by Marmot is made just for your child who doesn't want to stay inside on a rainy day. Constructed to be waterproof, durable, breathable and truly keep your little one dry and safe from the elements. Made with Precip - a microporous polyurethane that is impregnated with silicon dioxide particles.
These particles create small, numerous, very consistent holes that allow the barrier to pass small water vapor molecules but not the bigger liquid ones. This keeps the rain out while letting your sweat vapor work its way outside, away from your body, to keep you dry from the inside as well as from the outside.
A Driclime lined chin guard keeps your child's face from contacting cold metal on the zipper and Angel Wing Movement allows full range of play without exposing skin or letting the jacket ride up.
A fully protective jacket at half the price.

Great jacket, durable, and versatile!
| Rating: | ![]() |
| This jacket is great, and a great price. We live in the desert and need a jacket with versatility and reliability. The jacket has been used in monsoon downpours and also to play in the snow in the mountains. The cinching features make it a great fit for even small kids. I bought the more expensive north face version and was less then impressed, I quickly returned it the next day. I just purchased a larger precip for my daughter and passed the smaller one down to my younger daugter. The condition is still excellent after 3 years of kid use. My husband and I both have the adult precip, and we love them too. This jacket is a regular in our backpacks since they are lightwieght and compress fairly well. | |

Great for my kids | |

Researched a lot of coats for my under age 6 girls that would keep them dry in the downpours we get caught in going to school. So far these have been great. Very light so they can be stuffed in a bag and layered over winter coats if it rains. Have kept them dry in downpours - the water just rolls off. I think the cheaper coats let water in around the seams. We've only been using them a month but so far I'm very happy with them. Size XS fits my 4 year old and S for my tall 6 year old.

Good budget rain jacket
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Bought this for my daughter, who currently stands at 153 cm, as a wind/rain shell to go over a fleece. She loves it. Sleeves fit just right for her slim body frame and won't do if any shorter. It has kept her comfortably dry in tropical rain showers too. A pity it does not have a draw cord hem or hood adjustment system. I would highly recommend this as a budget rain jacket. It's definitely worth the price. | |

Good for kids, not for adults.

| I bought this in an XL hoping that I could save myself a few extra dollars by fitting into this instead of an adult small. Unfortunately, the sleeves were too short. This is a great jacket for kids, but not for college students trying to fit into a kid's jacket. | |

love the coat | |

| i ordered this for my daughter and we both like it. the only downfall is the Velcro on the zipper flaps (I'm just not a fan) but otherwise.....they won't get this coat mixed up at bus call. | |

Great jacket/Great Price!

| Well made and lightweight. Best as a top layer over a fleece-type coat. Blocks the wind and rain perfectly. Purchased it for my daughter to wear daily at school-an outdoors/environmental-school. She loves it! | |

The jacket hasn't been tested in a downpour, but has worked very efficiently in moderate rain. Nice fit, great color, nice styling. Great hood. I highly recommend it.

Huge Sizes | |

I often get kid's clothes because they fit me quite well (I'm 5'7" and 130lbs). However, with this jacket, I ordered the size that matched me on the size chart and it was enormous~ both long and around! Also, it does not have pit zips as advertised. However, it was fabulously light and I've gone ahead and re-ordered in a women's size that should fit better. Also to note, the azalea color is very pink (more like a medium bubblegum than fuschia).

Be careful of the short sleeve!
| Rating: | ![]() |
| My height:158cm / weight 46kg, so I follow the size chart and ordered XL. It is well tailered except the sleeve is too short. My sleeve size is about 21.7in.(55cm). The jacket is OK when you are still, but once you move, the sleeve will not be long enough. I should have ordered the adult precip instead. | |
