A durable hard shell for those who treck through the underbrush!
Marmot recommended this jacket as an alternative to the now discontinued Exum and Troll Wall jackets. I arrived at the Marmot Spire after trying on countless jackets, including the Arc'Teryx Theta AR, and couldn't pass this jacket up at $250! I'm 5'11'' 195lbs and a medium fits pretty snug, but I would probably swim in a large and the fit is athletic so it works. The jacket takes abuse well and is quite comfy even with just a tee shirt on (my arms sweat a little though). All around if you are looking for a rugged, breathable, stylish, and waterproof gore-tex shell look no further than this jacket!
