Rating:**

I was easily seduced by the 50% off tag backcountry slapped on this thing last may and now that fall temps are here my verdict is in. One of my biggest points of contention with the Torrid is the lack of a draw cord at the waist. This oversight combined with the extremely loose fit (size Large) of the jacket makes for a poor insulator. For reference I am 6' 3" and 185lbs with a 6' 1" ape index. This jacket fits very loosely around the midsection making it quite susceptible to drafts. The torso length is spot on however the arms could be 1/2 to 1 inch shorter. To top it all off the stitching on the sleeve cuffs is continually unraveling which I blame on the choice of thread. For the full asking price you can find a much better mid-layer.
