Inexpensive but useful

Went to Dick's to purchase a range finder, my brother in law had purchased this a couple of weeks ago. I was so impressed with it's results i decided to purchase one myself. Found it very useful 200 yards out and as close as 100 yards. Sometimes i had to hit the button a couple of times to make sure it was coming up with the same reading. It varied by a couple of yards. Worth the money and would buy it again.

this rangefinder is terrible

My old Bushnell range finder finally bit the dust after 10 yrs of use so I went to Dicks to purchase a new one. The Maxfli range finder was $100 cheaper than the Maxfli model so I went with the Maxfli I had read one bad review but wanted it to work to save the cash.It was the worst! In the first day of use, it would work sometimes then go completely dead then start working again. It was very difficult to pick up pins at distances over 200 yards or if there were objects behind the flag. Then it starts giving me low battery (I had just purchased a new battery and installed that day) so I took the battery out then replaced and it started working again. It was this all day long. Working, not working, working, dead battery, take out the battery and put back in, working again, then not working.I learned my lesson and will be taking it back to Dick's to trade it in on the Bushnell that I know works.

Basic no frills rangefinder

Recently purchased this and at first ( on the driving range) was very impressed, however, the next day went to play a round of golf and the short comings of the product became very evident. Trying to range a 235 yard par three this unit could not return a yardage reading, tried to aim at the bottom of the flag stick...no go. If the flags are not white or the wind is blowing in the right direction so that you can get a larger target... forget about it. Save your money and get one of the better units, because you truely get what you pay for.

Lower cost reflects lower quality.

I called into Dick's in El Segundo Cal to buy a range finder for my son. Looked at the Maxfli as the price suited my pocket. The demo given to me by the salesman was a disaster! He couldn't get the rangefinder to work at first but his sales manner was appalling. It was obvious to him that I was a novice so thought he could talk down to me. I complained to store who took it very seriously I'm pleased to say. Will go back to have a look at the Nikon models, but NOT with that salesman.

Bad investment

Tried to use this rangefinder on my local golf course. I was accompanied by others with the same type of equipment. This one was totally inaccurate compared to the others. Cannot recommed it. I guess price and quality are tied together.....cheap and low. Plus you must buy batteries to even try it and they are not returnable.

Poor Performance Rangefinder

Purchased this unit last weekend and went to the course the next day. The unit only worked when I was 100 yards and closer, anything over 100 years was impossible to range. If I did range the flagstick I would get 3-4 differnt ranges. Don't think that I will recommend this model to my buddies.

Doesn't pick up flags well

Worked pretty good at close distances, but get outside of 80 yards and it is simply not helpful. I can understand if it picked up an object behind the pin, but I would shoot a pin 4 times and get four different results, even pins which have the prisms on them. Do not recommend.

poor choice

VERY disappointed. Initially was pretty good. Now rarely gives an accurate reading. Have put in new batteries frequently and it still doesn't work correctly.

Worth Getting used to

This is what I paid for it was cheap and not always accurate. It tends to pick up objects behind the greens. But when it is not accurate it can be well off. But once you get used to it then those problems start to go away. For the low price it is a pretty good buy

Not very happy with this.

When it works, it works great. It doesn't work more often than it does work.
