| I bought these shoes for my husband. He runs every week, always off-road. So far they have withstood the terrain (mud, rivers, waterfalls, rock, swimming through lakes...you name it) with no problem. He goes through shoes frequently and always tries a different brand. He really likes these shoes, commenting that they are especially lightweight compared to others he's tried (such as Asics). I can't say how sturdy they are, since he's only been hashing in them for a month. I hope to update this review in a couple of months to let you know. | |

| Merrell Overdrive II - This shoe fits well. It is not waterproof as my last ones were. You can feel the air go through them, so not to wear in really cold weather. | |

| If it ain't broke... Bought this shoe because my original Overdrive (I) that was so comfortable had worn out. Sorry I didn't buy two of the original ones...the II version looks similar, but it is heavier, stiffer, not as well ventilated and not as comfortable. A nice shoe, but the revision didn't make it better in my opinion. | |
