Nice Shoe, but needs broke in
I have had Merrells in the past and they proved to be my most comfortable shoes. I needed a new pair of GTX-XCR shoes and decided to return to Merrells. This has been a good choice...now that the shoes are broken in. They were pretty stiff out of the box and the placement of the last set of eyelets presses down on the thick tongue of the shoe. This caused painful pressure points for me until everything softened up. It didn't take long and I just wore the shoe loosely laced. These shoes have really nice support overall, and remains comfortable after being on my feet all day. Although I marked that they feel true to size, with a thick pair of socks the toe box does become a little cramped. This is fine for me, as I plan to use these shoes for mild weather. I also like the laces and the lacing system. So far the tongue stays in places and doesn't slip to the side when walking. I also like the color as it won't show the dirt and grime so much!
Great Weather Performer, Poor Stitching Job
I purchased these because I already owned a mid-high gor-tex hiker from Merrell and wanted a shorter cut for everyday use and light hiking. The shoes fit perfect right out of the box and I've never had a single blister from them, however the stitching on the sides came apart 7 months into wearing them. For the price, I was disappointed that they didn't last at least a year. I recommend these if you live in very wet areas (like Alaska) for every day use, but they won't stand up to hiking off groomed trails.
Great Hiker
I had the Merrell Women's Siren Sport and liked it but didn't keep my feet dry. Ordered the GoreTex version as soon as they came out and LOVE them. Good traction and comfortable. Others claim to be waterproof and aren't when walking through dew covered grass in the morning. Just got done walking the dogs in melting slushy snow and feet are bone dry. Will buy these again if the stitching holds up that other reviewer complained about.

Hiked Crags to the top of pikes peak in these things for my first 14'er and these shoes did not disappoint me! Every other high end shoe I tried hurt my feet and gave me blisters, but not the Merrells! Im very happy and have hike several other types of terrain and had no issues at all. I would buy these again and I am telling my Friend to buy them NOW!
Super light weight and comfotable
Out of the box they were really stiff and needed break-in time but after a week they fit nicely. I never buy shoes I can't try on right away but the sizing was great and width great and super light weight if I have to travel with them. Heading to Costa Rica this month and they will be perfect for muddy trails and rainforest excursions.
Great Hiking Shoe
Had no problem breaking these hiking shoes in. Wore them around a few weeks before heading out on a 30+ mile backpacking weekend. Shoes performed great. Time will tell the level of their durability. Only downside is that I really needed a wide shoe, but I am able to keep the lacing near the toe box loose enough for comfort.
Amazing!
Ive only had my merrels for about a month they are wonderful! Very comfortable Ive worn them to work, im a nurse and work 12 hr shifts and im on the go all the time and ive worn them on trails. Im currently wearing them on the outings on vacation at Denali National Park in Alaska they are wonderful!

I almost sent them back after wearing them for a week because they were super stiff but at the same time very supportive. thankfully they finally broke in and are now the shoes I grab to give my feet a break
Great Shoes
These shoes are great for terrian from sugar sand to mud and everything in between. They are really comfortable and extremely light. The only issue I had was, the seam around the toe came apart. I would definately buy another pair.

These shoes were purchased for my wife. I bought her similar pair a couple of years ago and she loved them so much, I order another pair.
