With the help of fully taped seams and an adjustable, contoured hood, the Merrell Men's Sprint Jacket ensures you don't feel a drop of water on your next foul-weather hiking trip. If the temperature starts to rise while you hike, just open the two-way Underarm zips to let in some air and keep cool. The Merrell Sprint Jacket also comes with adjustable cuff tabs to seal out the cold, wet weather and ensure a comfortable time on the trail.

Sprint Shell Highly recommended
| Rating: | ![]() |
This jacket is awesome, Its single layer, but remains durable .. shop around ... they'll all rip when snaged .. It has no inner fabric because its a SHELL, its ment to be layered on top of a mid weight fleece or long sleeve performance shirt during bad weather ... Pit Zips and thin lined fleece pockets with ipod/mp3 player inner chest pocket are nice features while keeping weight to almost nothing ... This Rain shell is a true winner .... Its longer than most which i like because i'm very tall ... it cover's well .. The arm's seem to run a hair too long but the velcro wrist bands tighten behind the wrist allows it to sit correctly and not move foreward over the hands ... very comfy ... If you want a solid rain shell this is it ... its ment for backpacking with layers ..

Merrell Sprint "Shell" !

Real quick, The reviewer who ranked it a 2 ... Its a rain SHELL ... its not supposed to have an inner fabric ... You wear it OVER underlayers ... With that said, i bought mine on sale which is the only way i would of tried it out ... This shell has all the features i wanted with almost no weight ... Its kept me dry on 2 rain trips and using it to pick my daughter up at the bus stop ... It packs to almost nothing and isn't something i'd leave home without on the trail ... Its not as thin as some posted .. its gonna be for a lightweight shell ... its durable, if you want flimsy, try driducks. This is a sweet rain shell, excellent for layering .. i'm 6'4 230 lbs and xxl was perfect.

Great lightweight shell

I haven't put this jacket to much use yet (wore it out in a light shower this afternoon), but so far I'm really happy with my purchase. I am 6'0" and an athletic 190lbs, and went with a large. It definitely fits loose, but that's exactly what I wanted since I plan to layer underneath. Keep in mind that this jacket has no insulation--it's just a very lightweight waterproof shell. If that is what you are looking for, this one looks sharp and is a great bargain if you can pick it up on SAC. Looking forward to backpacking with it.

Great light shell | |

Got mine on SAC for a great price and absolutely love it. I'm 6'1 190 lbs and got a Large and it fits perfectly. It is exactly as advertised... very lightweight, very waterproof, very windproof. I went skiing and was wearing it over some shirts and a fleece and the waist draw cord and sleeve velcro kept the snow and cold out. great jacket

Nice jacket. Light weight.

Bought the jacket on SAC and its a great deal for the price. Sizes are a bit long which was fine for me as it should provide better butt coverage when hiking or biking. It is very lightweight, maybe too light for an everyday wind/rain jacket. I'll see how it holds up over time. Seems nice, packs small.

Sprint Jacket | |

I was disappointed with how thin this jacket is. The jacket is only one layer of very thin nylon with no inner fabric layer. I would only recommend the jacket for warm weather trips when extreme lightweight packing is a must.
