There are times on a climb when the route is impossible due to seasonal feature changes, disagreeable weather, chopped bolts or loose rock. That's where the Pocket Aider from Metolius excels. With five ladder-style steps and a handle, it's super light, super compact, reasonably priced and it saves your pride next time there are some obstacles that can't be free climbed.

The Metolius Pocket Aider is a lightweight 5-Step, ladder style aider. In spite of being constructed from 3/4" solid webbing and offering 60 inches of overall length and 18kN of overall strength the Metolius Pocket Aider still fits neatly in it's attached carrying pouch!

"It's small and it aids you, what else could you want?" | |

| I've used this to ascend ropes for fixing and stripping holds on an artificial wall. Also for hanging cool climbing stuff on so I can look at it. It works well in both cases. Packs up small into a self contained bag so it won't tangle with anything. | |

| These things are great. They are so compact, you can't even tell that they're hooked to or on your pack. I bought one for each person on my mountaineering team and have used it a few times already. Very convienient and at a great price. | |
