On my second set

Rating:****
I've been up two walls with mine and I like the way they work. Especially when it's time to extend the daisy for the next move, you just pull up/out on the integral loop and the clip-end slides out.

I dislike the idea of the adjustable end being attached to the 'working side'; so I got a bolt cutter and removed the metal slider thing; now I need to add some kind of ring like the yates.

I've climbed with a partner who uses the Yates. After a couple of days on a wall my fingers get really worked and I don't like having to press the buckle to extend the daisy. This is the main reason I'm sticking with Metolius. YMMV.

Negative Reviews:

Adjustable Easy Daisy by Metolius

Rating:**
Poor design with the slack retention ring. It allows any slack to eventually create a loop. Not as much of a problem with Rock as it is with Ice. When climbing Ice I kept catching my crampon in the loop, thus restricting any leg extension. Perhaps mine was not assembled properly? I have taken two strips of Velcro (adhesive backed) placed them back to back. With the soft side facing the webbing (so as not to damage) rapped it around the strap creating enough tension to eliminate the problem. Also when not in use I now tread it through my harness gear loops.

new tecnology half way

Rating:**
The Easey Daisy has racking disabilities with its bulk, weight and length, plus gives you that erie fealing of being only rated at 300lbs. Like any mechanics, this buckle was very stiff and non user friendly when it iced over in the storm.
