Great Bell; Doesn't Fit | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| My wife and I own 8 of these and wouldn't buy any other. The thumb-operated striker mechanism is a spring loaded snap back that doesn't ever go limp on you like the ones with a plastic snap-back arm. BUT the opening for the handlebar is too small for any serious adult-sized bike, including the seven Novaras and one Cannondale we own. To mount it, you have to find a suitable long, narrow screw or bend a piece of coat hanger wire into a loop and bridge the gap. The inside of the handlebar opening is not sufficiently flexible to then conform to the handlebar, with the result that you end up with several open spaces between the handlebar and the mount. This has been uncorrected for several years and I would think they could sell many more if they would just make the mount more adjustable or create some adult-bike sizes. I like them enough to put up with it -- but jeeez, folks! | |

A great little bell | |

| Great sound in a little bell and the lever actuated ding dong is perfect. Contrary to the previous review it fits my adult City bike just fine. It is made for a smaller diameter lightweight handlebar and not a mountain bike handlebar which makes sense. I almost didn't get it for fear it would not fit but took a chance on it and it did and I was very happy. | |

Tiny but powerful | |

| The best bike bell I've had (and I've had quite a few). It does tend to fill up with rain, which mutes the ring, but at least it's brass, so it shouldn't have any problems being wet otherwise. | |

Fab bell | |

| This is great. I got one for my son's bike. It works every time: it's loud and reliable. Not like the flaky bells of my youth. I'm coming back for more, including one for me! | |
