I use the product just the way it says except in the center,of the put line, I also go up hill 8" just because it may flatten on the curve to the cup.
It does work great.
I do wonder if there is a way to get a read on the bubble, meaning if the bubble reads on the line that would represent a 3 inch rise to the center to where you would put toward the cup.

The eez read tells you the angle at a certain point, but it would take alot of measurements to get it exactly. BIG waste of money
