Montbell Thermawrap PRO Jacket -

Lighten you load without sacrificing warmth with the Montbell Women's Thermawrap Pro Insulated Jacket. Big sister in the Thermawrap jacket lineup, the Thermawrap Pro features 80g Exceloft insulation and a higher durability shell fabric for intense mountain excursions. Montbell kept this jacket highly packable and lightweight, perfect for gram-counting climbers, hikers, or ski touring fanatics who brave the cold in the backcountry.

A DWR coating sheds moisture to keep you dry in light rain and snow, and unlike down insulation, the Exceloft insulation won't clump or lose it's insulating properties if it gets wet. The regular fit is roomy enough to wear over a baselayer, yet slim enough to fit under a shell, and the feminine cut keeps it looking stylish enough to wear around town on chilly nights in the city.

Montbell Thermawrap PRO Jacket Review:

Reviews:

Excellent! Love!

I got the size L in black from the 2011-12 season and it's perfect over a thin top or up to 1-2 thick layers. Shoulder/arms are long enough and the body isn't baggy, yay! (For reference, I'm 5'8.5, 155 lbs, usually wear size 10.) The hood, though, feels just a little too short-- it lifts the jacket off my shoulders a tad when i have it on.

With a good shell over it and proper layers for the rest of my body, I biked around during the dreaded "polar vortex" in NYC when windchills were in the negative double digits and i was fine. I love this thing. Only wish mine were a couple of ounces lighter (Note: the current version is lighter).
