I came across this stylish top a few months ago at a local outfitter. Truthfully, I wasn't looking for a top as I already have a few but it just really caught my eye. After several months of use I am extremely happy with the acquisition. I've used it as a light outer layer on misty hikes in the central Cascades and found it to be quite efficient as an insulator. The cut stays true to sizing which is nice because a recent trend in most clothing is for sizes to run big. Mediums are now larges but not for this top. I've also found myself wearing it around the city as the cut is pretty stylish and flatters an athletic body. In fact, I regularly have to fight with a good friend over who gets to wear the top. Another bonus as it fits her frame nicely as it does my 5'7" athletic male build. I'm even wearing it right now as I write this review from my couch!
This item was a great buy and it is super comfortable.
Neutral Reviews:
First, it's a strange fit. I got a large but it feels more like a medium. The arms are fairly tight and when I zip it up it feels tight on my shoulders as well. However, the hood is completely floppy and even with the drawstrings doesn't get that tight. The zipper feels like a cheap thing and not a mountaineering level device at all. The hoody itself seems well constructed and I like the breathable design. But I wouldn't use this as anything other than a spring running / hiking top or fall/winter baselayer. It's just not that warm. It's 50 degrees today and windy and walking around town with my t-shirt and this I was quite cold. The cut (I believe) is supposed to be "athletic" but it just makes me look pudgy, unlike the fleece I have, which is perfect.
