A little leg coverage is nice out in the brush or on a rock face, but tripping over pant legs isn't nice at all. The Mountain Hardwear Women's Arroyo Capris give you more coverage than shorts, but they won't get snagged on backcountry plants or bike chains. Strong Canyon Cloth makes the Arroyo tough enough for climbing, and the bevy of pockets and full-length inseam gusset give you the cargo space and freedom of movement necessary for romping in the wilderness. These pants' lower-rise waist gives the Arroyo a modern fit, though you'll be too far from civilization to care about being up-to-date.

| These capris looked and felt like they could tackle on any outdoor or casual environments with style and function. The nylon seems like it would be a quick dry. I was impressed with the length of them as well. For me I'm 5'5" 125 lbs and some capris look too long and make my legs seem like tree trunks, but not these. A great length. However, the waist was a bit snug and was very uncomfortable. I'm not overweight or disproportioned and I ordered a 4 and I could hardly get them buttoned, so I returned them. I would have ordered the next size up, but not sure how the leg width and length would be. I wish they would have worked out because they really look like they would last a lot of wear and tear. | |

Nice light weight hiking pants
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I originally ordered a size up because of the reviews but found that my regular size 4 fit better for my small petite frame (5', 110 lbs). Although the color wasn't exactly what I wanted, the quality of these pants are great for the price. The length is a bit long for me as capris as it falls about an inch above my ankles but would probably be fine for a regular height woman. It's light and very packable, not taking up much space in my carry-on bag. I've not bought this brand before but I'm pleased with the quality of the sewing. Wrinkles come out easily with a cool iron. | |

Great for me! | |

Normally, I'm a size 4-6. I am a hard fit because I have a "bubble butt," so I ordered the 6. I LOVE the unique burnt brown (that's how I would describe "clove") color. It definitely has more of a red tone than my computer shows. The fabric is very lightweight so I wouldn't order these if you're looking for warmth. As far as the length, I am a little less than 31" inseam and they come 5 1/2" from the top of my ankle. I plan to wear them for hiking. Happy with my Arroyos!

Good adventure pants | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Reviews indicated that pants ran small and to order a size up which I did. However, I found a 6 to be too big for me so I returned it for a 4. Just rcvd the smaller one and find that it's a true size for petites (I'm 5'). The down side was that the color that I wanted was not available so I settled for another one because the quality is so good. It'll be great for hiking in the desert and casual wear. | |

Sizing is off | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| The first pair I ordered was too small (size 6) and the next size up was a little large. They are very comfortable and light weight when you find the right size. I have ordered them in 2 other colors and they all fit differently. I did notice that there were two listings for what I thought was the same capri but different pricing. I don't remember the difference between the two but could account for the difference in sizing. | |

Nice Gaucho, order one size up
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Very light breathable fabric without being transparent, even with the light colors. The cut is more like a cropped gaucho for me, fitted in the waist and higher hip (even as I ordered one size larger than my normal size) and very relax, straight cut in the thighs and legs, which is great for moving round in hot weather. Definitely follow the description and size up. I usually wear 0 or 2 in pants and size 4 fit me perfectly. | |

These capris are phenomenal. They can go from the jungle to urban hiking or out to dinner. They have a very flattering, hip hop cut. They are the fastest drying pants I have found. Great for travel. With 2 pairs of these you can go for days. Great with Prana tank tops or any tee shirt. Dress up or down. I normally wear a size 2 or 4. I have to wear a 6 in these capris.

| I am not a capri girl at all but I absolutely love these capri's...I bought them in every color available. I wore them all summer and will continue to wear them throught the fall. The fit is great and I just love the light weight fabric...soooo comfortable! Perfect capri for me...not to girly but still feminine and sporty enough to wear just about anywhere...trail to casual dinner out. Can't say enough good things about these capri's...Love 'em!!! | |

good mountain pants | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I really love these pants, however, I did read other reviews and decided to order one size up. I think I was in between true size and one size up. The downfall of ordering one size up is that there is a large amount of space in the crouch area. There are also no belt loops. I would stick true to your size for the best fit. They are great, durable, lightweight hiking pants. | |

Super-flattering for | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Very comfortable. Consider sizing up if short-waisted to provide a better fit for the rise. Like many have said, review the sizing chart carefully. The measurements are exact. Don't expect a lot of "forgiveness"!!! Sits below the natural waist and really is very flattering for the woman with curves! Also makes for great traveling. I would suggest a neutral color for your first pair. Black, string, sesame, khaki and petrol complement most sportswear tops. | |

Runs Small is an understatement
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I purchased these capris with the idea that I would wear them on hot summer weekend days. The fabric is lightweight and the quality seems good. I ordered them in 4, 6 & 8 (i usually wear a 6) not noticing the comment that they run small. I couldn't get the 6 up over my butt and hips and the 8 came up slightly higher but not much more. Zipping them wasn't even an option. I think a 12 probably would fit me but I am not reordering them in the large size. I don't want to take the chance that they won't be right. | |

Too Bad! | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I got a larger size, as recommended, to accomadate my hips & thighs. However, I need safety pins to keep them around my waist. I like the pants, but I hate that they don't fit. When are they going to come out with adjustable waisted clothing for women (not just elastic waisbands either)? I'm a size 6 but I have curves too! | |

Cut too low! | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I love these capris and the color is great, however, they are cut too low and sit on the hips. They are not appropriate for hiking. What ever happened to shorts that came to the waist. It would be wonderful for those of us who do not want to look like a teenager! (showing the belly button and "butt crack"!) | |

Uncomfortable fit | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| The inseam was too short, and it resulted in a constant wedgie. Also, it runs about one and a half sizes too small. I wear a 6 normally... the 8 was too small, the 10 was too big. Pity, because I liked the look of them and they seem to be well-made. | |

Great pant, but huge variation in sizing
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I had to return the Arroyo Capris in Petrol because they fit much larger than the same pant in black. Beware: there is a huge variation in size from one color to the other in this pant. I had to return 3 pairs before I got another one to fit like the black one. The brown finally worked. I was persistent because I love this pant. It is so light and dries so fast, which it makes it great for travel and exercise. It is very easy to dress up or down. I wore it to an exercise class, a hip hop dance class, to a street fair, and out to dinner. It is also one of the few pants I have found that is abrasion resistent nylon. That makes it great for activities that involve climbing and sitting on rocks. Other fabrics will snag, but this one won't. | |

Great pants, but sizes are way too variable.
| Rating: | ![]() |
The arroyo capris are a great pant, if you can find one to fit and that isn't easy. First, Mountain Hardware tends to run small in pants. I sized up from a 4 to a 6 and got a black one that fit perfectly. I then ordered 3 other colors (dk khaki, beige, and petrol) Each of those fit completely differently in length and width, despite being the same size 6. Finally I got one in "brownie" and it fits like the black one. If you get one to fit you'll wear it all the time. Great for exercise class, hanging out and travel. It dries in 30 minutes and is abrasion resistent, which is great for rock climbing.

Short Crotch | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
The other reviews are right on. I bought a size larger than normal, size 6, of the black pair and the picante pair. The black pair was too short in the crotch, but the picante pair fit pretty well (still slightly smaller than I prefer). I was also under the impression that the utility pocket would have a zipper - but it does not (the back pockets have zippers, though). So, for climbing long routes, they are useless. But for hanging around the house and for cragging, they are nice enough.

Well...Good and bad | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| The sizing of these capris is not consistant. I ordered 3 pair all the same size, and each one fit differently. They generally run a little small. I ordered a size 4 when I normally wear a size 2 in this brand. Two pair fit fine although they fit differently. One is a little looser than the other. The other pair just did not fit at all. I kept the two pair and sent the other back. But, I LOVE the ones I kept. I wear them all the time. | |

Agree with previous reviewer on sizing issue. Generally I'm a 6-8 and I ordered an 8 in both black and clove. Well, the clove fit fine but the black was too small. Might be b/c the pants were not made in the same country.. Anyway, the clove reminds me of a true rust color which I ended up not liking, so both of these are going back.. Too bad, fabric quality and overall design get an A.

| I usually wear a size 4, so I ordered a size 6 seeing the comments about these running small. I am returning the 6's as I couldn't even zip them up. I am in good shape but do have hips, so I think I may need to order a 10 -- that's how small these felt! Otherwise the fabric and quality seem to be up to Mtn. Hardware standards. | |

these did not do it for me. granted, they were too big (ordered an 8 based on reviews to size up, normally wear a 6), but even despite that they just did not look good. they felt great, are super light and whatnot but were just not for me. the clove is more of a rust color, darker than the picture which i also didn't like.

| I haven't worn the capri's anywhere besides around the house yet, but they are a little boxy. The picture makes them seem like there is more shape than there is...I do like the fabric and I think they might be growing on me. I did order a few sizes up and that was a good idea. | |
