"Great addition to my bag. No drafts or snags and blessed space!"

Rating:*****
I've recently gotten back into camping/backpacking. I have borrowed the expander twice now and am purchasing my own. I got my North Face Cat's Meow bag in the early 1990s - about 30 lbs ago. I didn't really want to get a new bag and this was the solution. It's the right zipper size (only a bit too long), it still allows me to cinch the opening up and I can squirm around to my heart's content. The bag still stuffs into its sack with it attached. I wish it were also lined with micro-fleece like the cat's meow as I can feel the difference. But hey, they're not even the same brand and still work quite well together.

WHOA, this is the answer to the I can't move my arms feel that I get in my down mummy bag, Great draft tube coverage over the zippers, still stuffs into my stuff sack with ease, and then into my compression sack. the extra width of 8 inchs lets me turn on my side without haveing the zipper follow me and then trying to sleep on it! no drafty spots and the zipper is super smooth and of high quality, used it this past weekend in 10 degree's weather, really a must have item for us tough guys.

It works just like the description said it would.

The Mountain Hardware Down Bag Expander zipped in easily. When I used it, it gave me (6'3" 210 lbs.) enough more room in my mummy bag to sleep comfortably without feeling claustrophobic. Now, I'm looking forward to using my mummmy bag instead of dreading it.
