Reviews:

A fantastic bag!

Rating:*****

I'll write a brief review because Mountain Hardwear deserves it for making a great product.

I'm a really big guy at 6'7", and very broad at the shoulders. I ordered the Banshee because it was one of the few quality bags built for folks my size.

I was thrilled when I received the bag because it was as advertised. Durable materials, quality construction, light-weight, and packed small. I climbed in to test it out and became very disappointed...I didn't fit! The length was great but I was too restricted in the shoulder and torso area.

This is no fault of the bag...it had adequate dimensions, just not for me. Long story short, I ended up returning the bag, and was very disappointed because the bag was perfect except that I'm too danged big!

If you're an unusually large or broad person you would definitely want to check it out first, but if you're of a "normal" size this would be a fantastic bag. Mountain Hardwear made a great product with the Banshee. I just wish that I could have kept it.

Cozy warm and dry

Rating:*****

This is the nicest bag I have ever owned. I love the down as it keeps you warm in the coldest of temps and doesn't overheat when the mercury rises. The waterproof breathable outer shell means that you don't have to worry about getting it wet. I'm never going synthetic again! It packs small and doesn't weigh a ton and I have the long version as I'm 6'4". Only thing is Backcountry.com got their max user height spec wrong. I originally ordered the regular, as 78 inches is 6'5", and had to send it back as it only accommodates people under 6 feet. They sent me the long at no charge and I've been cozy warm and dry ever since!

Awesome

Rating:*****
This bag has gotten me through Mt. Whitney, all over the High Sierras, Yosemite, and of course the regular college camping trips to Big Sur. It's traveled to NZ and AUS and still looks brand new. It's the best piece of camping gear that I have ever owned. It is definitely something that I will have for a lifetime and worth every penny. I would recommend this bag to anyone looking for a durable year round bag.
