Excellent Jacket! | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| As always, thrilled with Altrec's customer service. I'm 5'8" and 125lbs. I usually wear and XS-S and got the jacket in XS. It fits perfectly. The sleeves could be an inch longer, but I think its probably just because the puffiness of the jacket makes them ride up a bit at the shoulders. If I tighten the velcro around my wrists, they fit just fine. The fleece lining makes the jacket even more cozy-warm. Perfect alone for a chilly day, or with layers underneath when the temperature drops below freezing. It isn't the most form-fitting jacket, but for a down, its one of the least-michelin-man ones I've seen yet. Overall, its a great price for an excellent jacket. (I bought the jacket in bronze, despite my initial concern that it might show up as a vomit brown/green/gold. I'm very pleased with the color. The picture above shows the color accurately). | |

Jacket run as described, see MH size description
| Rating: | ![]() |
Bought it for my girl. Sizing is NOT off. She's 5 9 and 130lb and the fit is as it should be. She's a small. Sleeves are perfect and torso is as it should be. Read the the sizing charts on MH's website; they are accurate. The jacket is designed to fit at the waist. This jacket is not designed to cover your butt, get different MH jacket, like a down PARKA. Read product description b/c is tell you what the jacket is designed/intended for... Overall, the look is great, puffiness is moderate, weight is fairly low, and 650 down is plenty warm around the low 30s.

love this jacket | |

| This is the most feminine down jacket I have ever owned. It weighs absolutely nothing and packs very small for travel. It is very slimming. What I like most about it is that I have yet to see anyone else wear it. It's the little details of this jacket that make it great; from the trimming on the zipper, to the "extra" little pocket inside the right hand pocket, to the really fun interior lining!! It is not a real extreme cold weather jacket, but its great for the milder winter days. I LOVE IT | |

I love this jacket! | |

| Altrec was excellent to deal with and quick shipping for a fair price. The jacket is amazing! The fit is perfect - I'm a plus-sized, short girl and ordered the XL. It fits great - but I'll have no use for the bottom drawstring (LOL). I love the Micro-Chamois lining the upper part - it feels AMAZING and I bet it's going to feel REALLY good when the weather gets below zero here in NJ. ...Now I'll be able to go outside with my boys and play in the snow without getting cold. ;) | |

Best Down Jacket Ever! | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I had the subzero Mtn. Hardware for 4 years prior. I lost it last spring, after it was well used and abused. The downtown jacket is better! I've also worn Marmot, N. Face and other brands of down jackets... I was skeptical when I ordered the downtown, but this is the best down jacket I've ever owned or worn. Mountain Hardware is the creme de la creme for outdoor jackets regarding practicality, comfortableness, fit, performance and price. Your search is over... do yourself a good service for the winter and buy this jacket! | |

"Bottom Line: Cozy and Cute"

| I just recently bought this jacket because I go to school in Chicago. I needed a jacket that was perfect for the few days in the winter that i will venture outside my dorm room. I bought it a size bigger so that i can wear a sweater, sweatshirt, fleece etc. I wish it came with a hood but i got a great sale price for the bronze color so im not complaining. Overall, this jacket is perfect. Its not too thin for the winter and not too thick for the fall. | |

The warmest jacket I ever owned!
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I bought this jacket just to wear to the gym because of its sporty look, but I find I want to wear it all the time. It's so warm and cozy I don't want to take it off. It's a little puffy, but it doesn't make me look huge. The outer fabric is soft and silky, inside is plush. I am 5'5" average build and it fits perfectly. I got it in blue and I love the color. | |

Nice Jacket, Runs Large
| Rating: | ![]() |
Nice Jacket, sizing is off. I am 5'5" and 130 lbs - normally between a small - medium in clothing, and definitely a medium in all my jackets. The medium in this jacket was giant on me (everywhere), so I exchanged for a small. The small however is a little too small, sleeves a tad too short and length could be better. I still wear it, although I wish sizing was better.

Perfect Coat! | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
Bought as a gift for my mom (5'2" - got a M - fits perfect for her) and she absolutely loves it! She always seems to be cold when outside (or inside for that matter) and this has a great lining that is soft and keeps her nice and toasty. Very stylish and she says she has received many compliments when she wears it out. Definitely her new favorite coat!

bummer, wanted to like it but just couldn't

Arms: short. Brown collar clashed with the berry color. The stitching design was so so close to being really funky but instead looked like a great quilt artist started but then got hit by a bus half-way through sewing. Relevant? Not sure. I returned it, but it definitely seemed warm. Good luck

Check your sizes! | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
This jacket proved that mountain hardwear doesn't have a standard sizing chart. The jacket is nice, and the lining is really fuzzy, but unfortunately if you order the size you need in other hardwear jackets, it most likely won't fit. Thank goodness for backcountry.com as they were so nice to exchange it. Mountain Hardwear itself could learn some lessons from backcountry, as their customer service is certainly lacking.

Good fit | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
This jacket fit my wife true to size. Looks good, and keeps her warm, however, the down is starting to come out at the seams a bit, which should not happen. MH is normally top quality, but this jacket isn't. May have to replace it next year with something else. She has only worn it about 10 times, and not for anything outdoorsy either.

sleeves too short | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
The coat was soft and cozy but I had to return it due to the very short arm length. I am an XS, the body fit just right but sleeves very short.
