Aside from huddling together into an immovable steel box, the Mountain Hardwear Stronghold Tent is about as secure from the weather as your climbing party can get at high-altitude, bad weather basecamps. This 10-person dome tent features a floorless, double-wall construction for sorting gear, cooking meals, plotting summit bids, or even sleeping the entire expedition party.

I call mine "Helm's Deep"

Rating:*****

This tent is the mutha f'in king man! The first time I used it was a trip to the desert for a land sailing event. While we were setting it up people told us tents come to the playa to die. 70 mph recorded winds and this thing barely moved. It already saved me 3 days hotel when another tent would have been shredded. Good thing it's rock solid because it's expensive as hell. When I was hiding in it avoid being sandblasted it seemed like one of the best investments I've ever made. Sell your kidney and get one, you'll never look back! I have some real world pics, here's one:

more in the gallery. I found it hard to find pics and reviews before selling all my possessions to afford one so check it out. It truly kicks ass.
