Mountain Hardwear Trango 2 -
For those who like to camp off the beaten path even in winter, the Mountain Hardwear Trango 2 Tent is your best friend. This is one of Mountain Hardwear's toughest winter tents, designed to withstand cold winds, freezing temperatures and a whole lot of precipitation.
The Trango 2 Tent is solidly constructed of ripstop nylon, with fully sealed seams, welded corners and watertight zippers. The tent has even been Rain Room tested with 1200 inches of rain over 24 hours and did not let a drop in. Set up is a cinch using a color coded system and easy snap poles. As with other Mountain Hardwear tents, the Trango 2 can be used in a lighter weight configuration, using just the fly and the poles, along with a separately purchased footprint.
The Mountain Hardwear Trango 2 is designed for two people, but the vestibule extends the dry area on both sides for gear, storage or extra sleeping room. Mesh doors on either side allow two-way access, while mesh storage pockets give you a place to stash your Snickers.
Wind, snow, sleet or hail, nothing gets beyond the Mountain Hardwear Trango 2. This is one ballsy winter tent.

Great 4 season tent!!!!

This tent is perfect for two people. its floor dimensions are larger than some 3 person tents. the tent stand up to its mountain hardwear reputation. The two doors make it possible to ventilate the tent in hot and humid conditions (better than most 4 season tents) The vestibules are huge! Enough for two packs and a "camp kitchen" in the front and boots and other misc. gear in the back. the only complaint I have is that its heavy, at about 10 lbs this isnt a tent you would want to backpack solo with. However, splitting the poles, guylines, and stakes to one person and the tent body and fly to the other makes it very managable. Overall if your looking for a TWO person bombproof roomy tent for anything from hiking to mountaineering this would be a perfect choice.

This is one heavy tent but I it's worth the weight. I have used this tent for extended trips (7+ days) in cold weather (<0 degrees Fahrenheit) and on a car camping trips with my wife. It is easy to set up after you have done it a few times and it is even easier to break down. The rain fly goes on a bit tight and requires several stakes to keep it in place but it stays where you put it and does not rattle in the wind. Ventilation is top-notch, condensation build up is minimal and the roof vent is great feature

Have owned alot of tents in my time and this one is the best to date. Easy set up and enough room for 3 people if you had to. The design is outstanding with lots of storage for inside tent. Also large vestibule is killer and smaller on opposite side is handy. Dual entry is fantastic. The quality and functionality/design of this tent is hands down the best I have come across. Also have to date never had a bad experience with any Mountain Hardwear tents. They just know how to make quality tents.

Perfect for three seasons

The trango 2 is a solid cold weather tent that has got me through some cold weather trips. I like the size and weight for some mild hiking with durable camping. It can be tricky to set up if you have never done this style before and should not be used in the summer. Did some car camping in August and melted, this tent makes a good home for Fall to spring but should be kept at home for the summer trips.
