The cold weather dome | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| This is the hat to have when the temperature drops and the wind is kicking - it's an odd feeling to have your face be completely numb and the rest of your head blissfully warm... Great companion to the standard micro dome - I overheat easily so I alternate the two frequently on an outing. Two nitpicks - the fit is completely different than the standard micro dome; it is much taller (?) but that's fine for me since I have a good size head and like to be able to pull it down to cover a bit of my neck... Also, it mutes outside sound a bit due to the WS laminate, makes it harder to have a conversation while on the trail but no biggie. | |

Love this hat but it's too big now | |

| I just bought this hat for the third time because I don't seem to be able to hang on to a hat for more than a year or 2 before losing it. I love this hat (which is why I bought three), but I was disappointed to find that the size of the hat had grown significantly between my second and third purchase, and instead of a snug fit it was loose and coming down past my eyes. Since there's only one size available it doesn't seem like there's an option for me to wear this hat any more, so I sent it back. I guess it's still a great hat if you have a much bigger head than I. | |

| Very soft and comfortable hat that does a great job blocking the wind on cool morning runs. | |

| I received this product as a free gift when I purchased a woman's wind stopper jacket. The hat was huge on me so I gave it to my husband and he loves the hat and fits him fine. Order a small if your a woman. I don't know about putting this hat on under a helmet. I thought it was to bulky for that. | |

Does the job | |

| I've worn this hat on a few winter day hikes where the temps were in the 30s, but the wind was pretty fierce. This hat did the job of keeping my bald head warm and protected. It's not the best fitting beanie I've ever owned, but it stays on the noggin. | |

A bit too big | |

| It is a very nice, soft hat with nice feel but they only offer one size (regular) which does not correlate with other similar hat sizes. I have another MH beanie which is a regular and fits well but this is much larger for some reason. | |

Uninspiring | |

| OK, maybe I'm just a pin-head, but this one-size-for-all hat is just too darn big for my head. Otherwise a pretty unremarkable lid. Will not win any awards for fashion. | |
