Tasty! | |

| These are very, very tasty, especially if you've been on the trail for awhile! A word of caution, however, I ruined by triple teflon coated GSI anodized aluminum pans with this dessert. The raspberries and the crust ended up getting cooked onto my pan and stuck to the teflon coating so I had to scrape it all off, leaving my pan with the bare aluminum exposed...not good. Luckily, I've got a new titanium pot that I won't have to worry about scratching, so I'm thinking about giving this delicious dessert another try. | |

High Alpine Treats | |

This is one of my favorite desserts to bring backpacking, and is worth its 5.2 oz in weight. I did in fact have my crumble after some Mountain House vegetable lasagna, and it is quite a delicious pairing indeed. We added a glass of wine too and that really topped it off. Who said you couldn't live it up when your miles into alpine country? Plus if you only have two people and can't finish it after your meal, the raspberry filling goes great mixed in with your oatmeal the next morning!

Tasty Treat | |

| This is a tasty dessert or maybe breakfast. I like the chocolate cookie crumbles on top. If your camping for more than 2 days and you know your gonna want something really sweet with some chocolate then you need this.I would give it 5 stars except for the texture of the raspberries is different. 4 1/2 stars is what I want to give it. With a 7 year shelf life you can't beat Mt. House. | |

Very yummy but too much for 2 people

| We really wanted to splurge on a dessert on a recent backpacking trip but there were only two of us, and this dessert package serves 4 people. So we used it as one of our two entrees. The flavor was great, and a nice change from the usual entrees, but the 4-serving size was really TOO much. It would be nice if Mountain House offered this in a 2-person size. | |

| Brilliant creation! I love the fact that I can pour water in the bag and let it sit while I'm finishing dinner. No need to constantly stir or make sure something isn't boiling over. Best of all, there are no extra dirty dishes! I would give it 5 stars, but the texture is a little lumpy for my taste. The taste is incredible, especially after a full day of backpacking. | |

A Real Dessert! | |

This was a complete hit with our little camp. It prepares very easily and serves plenty, although 3 of us ate all of it. It has a great texture, real berry's and just a great combination of raspberry's and chocolate. We'll use this one again, probably on every trip we do. We may bring an extra just so we don't run out though....it's really that good!

| I was a little sceptical about this one; it sounded a little too good to be true, but this stuff is amazing! it tastes very fresh which was a huge plus, it was one of those meals you never forget because it was so dang good! it also, like many other freeze dried foods, did not take long to make and was easy to clean up! | |

THE BEST DESSERT - Serve it at home too!
| Rating: | ![]() |
| The best dessert EVER for camping (and even for home use!). Real raspberries, yum yum. Tastes like warm fresh fruit. I don't choose to use the cookie crumbs, but my family eats them plain. We sit around a large package of raspberry crumble and pass the bag around taking scoops out. We fight over the odd scoopful remaining. It's shameful. Mmmmmmmmmm. | |

This is by far my favorite desert while camping. I take these with me on regular camping trips not just backpacking. Mountain house is really a great food company and their food is a great treat for those eating trail food for a while. After eating ramen noodles for two months this will seem life you are at a 5 star restaraunt

ok taste, but very slimy texture

| Taste wasn't as good as anticipated. Not bad, just not a favorite. Texture too gooey/slimy. Cookie crumbs weren't enough to improve the texture. Less like real fruit than anticipated - too much "sauce", not enough raspberries. | |
