The Mountainsmith Recycled Series Day Lumbar Pack hauls your gear comfortably on any length day hike you dare undertake. Ultimate freedom of movement is the payoff for carrying a lumbar pack—and the Day is expertly equipped to ensure the big loads it can carry are evenly distributed and compressed securely against your body. Mountainsmith consistently comes up with nice touches to their gear, like an waist belt that easily handles heavy loads, then tucks out of sight for convenience. 32 ounce Nalgene bottles fit easily in the Day's mesh water bottle pockets. For those days you don't feel like completely saddling up, grab the dual carry handles for use as a briefcase in more urban adventures. A removable, padded shoulder strap converts the Mountainsmith Recycled Series Day pack into a sling bag.

Recently took it on a trip to Colorado. Used it as a diaper bag on the plane. Filled it with flyfishing gear for quick trip to the South Platte, then reused it as a diaper bag on the return trip. Buy the strappettes if you are going to pack it full. Great purchase!

Fits tons of stuff for whatever you are using it for. Great extra pockets and pouches. Straps are a bit much at times but you can "hide" them easily.
