Great bag for car trips (day or two) | |

| I do field research that involves 10-15 hours in the field, driving to my field sites. I use this bag to hold my personal items for the day (extra clothes primarily). The outside pocket is perfect for a water bottle. Though I don't need to, this bag would not be uncomfortable to carry for a short distance. The rigid rubber bottom is waterproof and mudproof and provides extra stability and durability. I like this better than a backpack (for car trips) because it is easier to access items (large top loading compartment). Don't be fooled by the "small" size designation - it's a pretty big bag - take a look at the dimensions. The inside has several pockets, and I easily fit my "driving home sandals" in one, and I like the top see-through zip pocket for holding keys and other small items. | |

| Great all purpose Bag! I have purchased two of these Mountainsmith Tote bags, one of the gray and one of the green bags. And I think there great! It has plenty of pockets for all of my things and the interior is yellow on the inside, for easy finding. Like my magazines, water bottle and my mp3 ect. But I, use it as an “Handbag" everyday. Cause it is not just for traveling. I love the fact that its water proof and it has this thick rubber that is on the bottom of each of these bags for protection, from the daily use of wear and tear. These bags have plenty of room already that, if you need more room? These bags have it! It also comes with shoulder straps as well, which is great also. Considering some places the straps cost extra. | |

| This tote proved to be a very pleasant surprise. It is of high quality construction with some design innovations that were unexpected. I have seen canvas totes for the same money on other websites. But, canvas totes wear out quickly with any use at all, especially on the bottom. The rubber bottom on this tote makes it extremely useful and adds to it's longevity. I bought it for my wife to use on a trip to Maui when she heads for the beach but realized after seeing it that it will be very useful during the boating season as well. | This Mountainsmith tote bag is very well made. I use it when working overnight shifts: easily carries extra clothes and a toiletries bag, with plenty of extra room for books and papers. Has five internal pockets (a small one zips closed) and the extra zip pocket on the top flap is especially handy when traveling. The rubber bottom is a real bonus: when full it stands well on wet, muddy, or sandy surfaces. The bag will collapse when it is not full, is not free standing. This is good for delivery and storage, however, since it can be packed flat. The rubber bottom makes it heavier than it looks, though it is still light enough to carry easily when full. | |

| I use this bag to carry all the stuff I'd normally pile on the seat next to me in the car: recording stuff for my music classes, my wallet/purse, a few groceries, water bottle, books, handlotion, equestrian gear, yoga mat and towel - everything. It has huge capacity while still being manageable for everyday use. Excellent pockets inside, and I LOVE the waterproof, rubber, bottom. (Ever spill your hand lotion or water bottle in your bag??) If I could improve it, I'd shorten the shoulder strap (I'm 5'5 1/2") about 2 inches, and I'd make the sides firmer. | |

| I wanted a bag that could be set on the wet ground and could carry heavy groceries, instead of half-filled double-bagged paper bags. These are the perfect size for a grocery bag. But they are heavy (empty), don't stand up by themselves, and awkward to load at the store. When I put double paper bags inside, they do stand up, but that makes them harder to store. The bottom seems very durable, but makes for a heavy bag. I'm conflicted about these, because it's very close to what I need, but not quite... | |

| This bag will be great for storage/school purposes. Our school is going to be enduring rennovations next year, so I'll be floating around to different classrooms. This bag will work great as a filing system. Also, I got the bright orange, so hopefully it will help me steer through hallway traffic. The zippered top compartment keeps everything in the bag and the zippered pouch will be useful to stash my classroom keys and ID badge. | |

| I usually get tired of bags quickly, but this one is wonderful. I use it as my purse, my "teacher bag," and for carrying stuff when I'm climbing or camping. I love that I can put it down on the floor/ground and not worry about it getting dirty. It holds a lot for its "small" size, but it's still comfortable to wear on my shoulder. | |

| Have used the bag a few times, found it to hold a surprisingly good quantity of stuff. The rigid bottom also adds stability when the bag's not fully loaded. A few minor complaints; the shoulder strap isn't short enough. While the rubber base is practical it's also a bit heavy. This is not a light weight bag to stuff into your suitcase. | |
