They aren't the most stylish but here's the scoop: I'm old, I hurt, and I've snowshoed once in my life. These were incredibly easy to put on. They are light, and I moved very easily in them without poles. I like how narrow they are. I think I would want the longer extensions for deeper snow, but the short ones worked just fine (easy to put on as well). I was surprised by the size of the metal cleats, but have to admit they are very handy on the harder packed snow and they gave me great stability on slopes. I'm very happy with my purchase.

A good edition to a great snowshoe on the deep days

I always use these when there is 8 inches or so of new snow to tromp through. Just enough additional flotation and not soo long that they are annoying. Easy to attach and detach!

I liked how they were easy on and off except when I ordered I should have gotten the 6" or 8 " I do Search and Rescue work and with a pack I still sink in the powder. But over all I like them.
