The perfectly-shaped Alpine Spoon from MSR is a tough spoon for rugged conditions. This extreme spoon can feed you as fast as you can raise your hand and open your mouth, which is especially important when you lack cooking skills. It resists the bending and breaking that less hardcore cutlery succumbs to when dinner gets intense.

Compact cooking spoon folds to half its size for backpacking; won't scratch cookware with non-stick coatings.

Now you don't have to make the case for adding luxuries like your favorite kitchen utensils to your pack. MSR's lightweight Alpine Spoon cleverly folds in half for compact storage. Use it for pots with a nonstick coating-no scratches, no dings.

"Great features and compact with little weight."

| I bought the spoon for a trip to Kentucky and it was wonderful! The spoon folded to fit inside my Group Jetboil stove and was virtually weightless. I also thought it was great that the cup had grooves for measuring and one side was flat so you could scrape all the goodness of your food off your plate or pot. Very useful and necessary tool. | |

Great for backpacking!

| This is perfect for any type of trip that you need to pack light. The measurement units within the spoon could be more useful if written in a color that stands out. That is the only thing I would change, and it is not a big deal at all. | |

| Got this as part of the three piece set. Well designed; small enough to fit in solo cookset. The scoop can even fit into mugs without a spill when you use it to pour soup into it. | |

"Well made for an essential tool"

| Good weight and size, it is easy to pack. Be careful not melt the plastic! Maybe the spoon could be more heat resistant. Also the spoon is a little weak at the joint, it risks bending out of place or snapping. | |

| I find it somewhat hard to open at times, but a very handy little item. Molded in graduations allow it to double as a measuring cup. | |
