| I LOVE using my DromLite with the drinking hose while hiking. Since I don't have to either remove my pack or have someone retrieve my water for me, I drink much more water and feel much better at the end of the day. (I no longer engage in "guilty hydration" late in the day and end up getting up repeatedly for late-night potty runs!) Although I wouldn't recommend treating the DromLite the way I have treated Lexan bottles in the past, I have by no means babied mine and have had no problems with scrapes or punctures. I purchased the spigot attachment and like to hang the DromLite from a tree trunk at camp and call it "indoor plumbing." I find it endlessly more versatile than a hard-sided bottle. The only thing I would change would be to add some sort of a cap for the bite valve so I don't have to worry about dragging it through the dirt (or worse) when I set my pack down. I'm embarrassed to admit how often I have put on my pack, forgetting to check the condition of my bite valve, and been greeted with a mouthful of dust when I took my first drink. | |

| I was camping on block island for a weekend and i rode my bike to the nearest source of water from camp down a very rocky road. on my way back, i happened to drop the bag in front of me (because i was holding it in my hand while riding a bike on a bumpy dirt road) and ran it over with rear tire. needless to say i'm still very impressed that i ran this thing over (all 310 pounds of me) and it held my water just fine. no problems. | |
