| I don't know how many aluminum stakes I've bent. I started carrying two extra stakes with me just in case. Then I discovered these. They are pricey for stakes - an order of magnitude more than the cheap aluminum ones - but they will last a very long time. I've made holes in limestone with these stakes. They bend, but it take a lot to do it, and they are very light. I've used these to set up my tent at least 30 times by now, and I only slightly bent one of eight (zealously hitting it with a rock to see exactly how much it could take). | |

| these stakes came with a tent that i purchased from the same manufacturer. these are hands down the best stakes i have ever used. they are very small and very strong. it took a whole lot of smashing against a rock underground for me to bend just one of them unlike many other aluminum tent stakes that almost seem to bend in half if you just drop them, lol. the fillet mignon of stakes | |

| When I received the Needle Stake, I thought that they were going to be too small for a stake. But once I used them I realized that they are a really great stake. They hold really well. I was unable to bend them even when pushing them into the rocky mountain soil by pushing them in with my foot/boot. I highly recommend them to anyone. | |

| Great stakes. I have used these for about 4 years from the Wallowas to Pacific Beaches to Arizona deserts to Grand Staircase-Escalante. They even hold in rock cracks. They hold up to a lot of abuse (I usually tap them in with a rock) BUT DO NOT DRIVE THEM WITH A STEEL HAMMER! A helpful kid finally bent one that way. | |

| Simply put. A great light weight stake! I have 8 that I use with a Marmot Aurora and I'm getting 8 more for my one man Kelty Clark. It's little but really strong and hooks really well. | |

| these came with my tent and because they were MSR i unfortunately assumed they would be quality stakes . . . wrong. first time we used the tent we camped on some dirt that wasn't soft, but far from being hard as concrete. 2 bent from pushing them into the ground and another bent when my girlfriend stepped on it in the middle of the night. i would recommend keeping these as backup and getting yourself a set of the MSR groundhogs. you could practically crack granite with those things and although they weigh a little more than the needles, they won't bend and will last forever. your choice, light weight and flimsy or a little heavier and bombproof. | |
