Great insulated mug!

I own four of these. I've also bought a few more at various points to give away as gifts to my outdoor inclined friends. They are great! They keep whatever you are drinking hot (or cold) and the insulation also prevents you from burning your hands. Be careful though, it can be deceiving. Since your hands stay safe from the heat, this doesn't mean your mouth/tongue will. I made the silly mistake of drinking out of one my first time using it WAY too soon. I burned the dickens out of myself. Guess that can be a testament to how well they work. Plus they nest inside my MSR pot set, thus saving valuable space.

Women will swarm you in the coffee shops.

I bought this weeks ago in the Birmingham, MI store. I have never gone to a coffee shop since without someone wanting to know where I got this. (I look both ways before answering). But there is always someone eves-dropping.When you sip from this mug, you get what you sip. Women could save $ on lip stick. It's shape fits the curves a shoulder bag while it rests against a book flatly inside -- James Bond should be so lucky when incognitoTruthfully, I don't daily attend a coffee shop, but when I do I bring my MSR Mug.. It's the most interesting cup in the world.

Nice cup for hot beverages

I bought this cup for my morning joe. It keeps the liquid hot and doesn't burn my fingers. The coating on the outside is like a rubbery foam (the pic is a little deceiving). It is grippy so it will sit on most uneven surfaces without slipping. The lid is a nice feature as well. It sits in there snug, so there is no worry about a big spill if it does get knocked over. Can't say enough about this mug. Nice one MSR!!

A Life-Long Mug

You honestly know when you're holding this mug that, unless you loose it in the wilds of Africa someplace, it will last forever. It's light, it's super-insulated, and it's comfortable to hold. I bought it for durability and packability and it shines like the friggin' sun on both. Two thumbs up for sure.

Packability

What I like about my mug the best is the way it packs into odd spaces in my bag. It seems to always pack so much better than a standard round container, which cause excess unused backpack space.

Does what it's supposed to

Keeps the heat in the cup. Kept my coffee hot while I prepaired my breakfast. What else does it need to do? Also use it to store my headlamp when packed. Very light.

Does the trick and keeps the drink warm.

packs well and works great on the trail. Best mug to drink out of 20 miles from the nearest road, or on your way into class and does not burn your lips!

Light, easy to pack and won't burn your hands

I bought this to replace my tin cup that was akward to pack and had no insulation. The lid is a bonus. Totally recommend it.

Its neat, but is it the best?

After searching for the perfect mug, I decided on this one. It packs nicely in your pack and you can put spare batteries and smaller items inside to cut down on room. The large base is nice and helps prevents spills, but the cover seems loose and I'm not sure I would trust it to not come out. When the cup is full of hot liquid, the area where your mouth would be for sipping gets quite hot (it is partially metal, not good) and the lid seems to tighten up a bit with the heat, but is loose once the drink cools. Overall, its a great idea for a mug, but I would like to see a silicone sipping area and a cover that fits properly, and is maybe attached with a small cord.

Great Mug but needs some work

This mug was totally awesome...but after 3 days of using it for tea, the lid no longer fit snug tight and so when I would take a drink the liquid would start to leak out from under the lid seam. If the lid fit like it did the first day that I got it, it would be fantabulous.
