Great Spoon | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
Titanium, in my experience, does not conduct heat nearly as fast as aluminum or steel. Because of this, I rely on this spoon when snow camping to spoon snow into my pot for melting. Unlike steel spoons, it does not stick to my hands. Unlike plastic spoons, it is very strong and will not break in the ice. For warmer conditions, it does not require a mitt or glove to handle when stirring hot liquids. The spoons are very expensive, but I have several and use them often. As for the Better Stove comment from another user, I have 3 MSR X&GK stoves, one I've had for 25 years and never has one failed. Perhaps he/she has the firefly or wisper or newer dragonfly. I've never used those but the GK & XGK series are fantastic and should not have been discontinued. A buddy of mine just gave me a conventional coleman (green box with 2 burners) and I tried it out last weekend. What a piece of shit...I'm gonna tear out the stove guts and use the box for a windscreen for my XGK.

Great Spoon - Terrific Tool!
| Rating: | ![]() |
| If you need an excuse to spring for a titanium spoon, the MSR Titanium Tool Spoon is it - not only is it an excellent lightweight spoon (to be honest, Lexan, to me, has a sort of 'greasy' texture that I can't tolerate) but if you carry any of MSR's stove (and who doesn't have at least one?) you can ditch one piece of the field maintenance kit and carry this nifty and useful little item instead. They're difficult to find sometimes but I hope MSR never stops making them - nor ALTREC carrying them! | |

Best backcountry spoon ever

Not only does this spoon deliver the blessed backcountry food to my mouth but it fixes my stove too. Ever wonder where you left your stove repair kit? with this spoon just think about how hungry you are and how you will deliver the food to your mouth, and you'll realize your repair kit is on your spoon.

"Light and functional spoon"
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Light and functional. Only gripe is that it's not a sporK! If you're going to pitch the fork and carry only a spoon, then combine that with a tool, you might as well take it one step further and make it a spork. Maybe next year. o Great for what it is though! If you need a strong, light spoon then this is a sure bet. | |

"Great Utilitarian Device"
| Rating: | ![]() |
| What a great utilitarian piece of equipment. Not only is this spoon super light but it is also a great tool for fixing your MSR stove, digging a latrine, or just plain ballancing on your nose while you are waiting for your food to cook. Does everything I need it to. | |

"spoon lickin good" | |

| great spoon, haven't used the tools yet but they do seem to work with msr stoves. like that the spoon actually has a good dip to it so you can dig in to your mac-n-cheese or whatever on the trail. verry light and sturdy enough to hold up to abuse | |

Keep a good grip on this spoon

'Cause folks have been trying to steal mine for years. Great spoon, lightweight, yet big enough to shove in those calories. When I replaced my MSR stove with a jet boil the end of the spoon got the wrench ground off smooth (it tended to get caught in places.)

"Nice spoon, but you might do better elsewhere."
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Lightweight, nigh-indestructible, and shiny! This titanium spoon also acts as a wrench and tool for and MSR camping stove. While it is generallly a good buy, I found it to be a little expensive. Ecspecially since there are no fork tines. A titanium spork by MSR would be great. | |

better stove | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
if the stove were better then you wouldn't need to use the spoon as a tool so often--nice spoon, but msr needs to make a better stove where you don't need such a spoon--

Bit expensive for a spoon

LIGHT, but so is the pocket book after the deal. The tool is nice if you operate MSR Stoves. I like the LONG
