For nearly two decades the versatile MSR WhisperLite Internationale has logged more miles than almost any other liquid fuel stove available today. The WhisperLite Internationale adapts to burning a range of fuels, including kerosene and diesel, but most backcountry and international travelers prefer the cleaner and consistent properties of MSR White Gas fuel. The Internationale features a simple and highly reliable design with a shaker jet self-cleaning valve for simplified maintenance while traveling through areas with less refined fuel sources. Over the years MSR modified their fuel pump with a simplified flame adjustment and a durable design. The stainless steel legs/pot supports fold down to fit easily inside most cooking pots. Liquid fuel stoves are an excellent choice for cooking in cold temperatures. Depending on altitude and temperatures, a twenty-ounce fuel bottle of MSR white gas will burn for a 110-minute average.
The MSR(r) WhisperLite(tm) International backpacking stove offers you a reliable and simple design that's made to last with tough stainless-steel and brass parts. It utilizes Shaker Jet technology to make cleaning as simple as shaking the stove. Fuel canister not included.

Like a jet engine | |

| Great backpacking stove. As soon as I got it I tried it out and had no problems figuring out the start up process. We used it in Kentuckey in the Red River Gorge and the first night we had tornado warnings (we found that out later)60+ mph and still boiled in less than 5 minutes the wind screen that came with worked great to keep wind out and increase proficiency. Only problems I found were that there was no heat control. Its jet engine or.... Jet engine. Also even though other stoves have same problem, after you turn it off it keeps a large amount of leftover gas inside that leaks out later no biggy though. All in all great stove would recommend to beginners and advanced backpackers as well. | |

"MSR stove for any kind of serious backcountry usage."
| Rating: | ![]() |
| This is a great stove and I would only buy an MSR stove for any kind of serious backcountry usage. The stove doesn't simmer in the sense of your kitchen stove (at all), but it's not too bad compare to the torch-like power of other MSR stoves (good tip from SandyBeach to use low pressure). But great for all conditions, boils water FAST and still can cook normal food on it too. Very light, field maintainable and you can be sure that MSR stands behind it's products -- I've got lots of their gear and have only good things to say about their products and customer service! And no, I don't work for them... just a big fan! Great stove! | |

"The standard lives on, keep pumping!"

| I've been using the MSR WhisperLite since I was in high school. Six months with the multi-fuel burning International model has me sold on convenience. I never have to worry about fuel and more, I just have to remember to go by some place that has gasoline on my way to the trail head. The stove takes a little practice and patience to start but when it gets going it can boil a couple cups of water in under 2 min. and melt a pot of snow in just a little more time. It doesn't have much by way of a simmer option but it carries pretty light and is dependable. | |

"great, convenient backpacking stove"

| this little stove...well its awesome. I just got it and my first time testing it out made me a believer!!! It was easy to set up and use, read the directions!!! I was boiling a big pot of water in minutes..from when I opened the box for the first time!! Cant say I used in on the trails just yet, but bet yer ass I will be using it every time I venture out. I think what makes it even better is that it is adaptable to different fuel types..hey ya never know. Now thats being prepared!!! Buy the MSR Whisperlite International before you go on your next adventurs. | |

Still working great after 23 years
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Came across this product and had to leave a rating. Bought my MSR stove in 1986. As far as I can tell the design has changed maybe 3% since then. My stove has always worked great. The bottle is beat up with about 20 dents in it but she still works like a charm. Had to clean 3 or 4 times since, but parts are very simple to take apart and clean. Can be a bit weak at extremely high altitudes, but can't really complain about this little friend. Wish everthing I bought still worked great after 23 years. | |

Very Functional Stove | |

| To be honest, this is probably more stove than I need for my relatively short backpacking trips, but I bought it with the attitude "this is all the stove I'll ever need" and I'm totally satisfied. Once you get the hang of it, its easy to use, cheap to keep filled with fuel, and super fast to heat water. I've even repaired this stove in the field, which was surprisingly easy. If looking for a stove that will last you forever and work no matter what situation you find yourself in, this is a fantastic choice! | |

"Workhorse of a stove" | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I have taken this stove on one hike and four camping trips this year. This stove worked in all weather including extreme cold when other types of stoves would fail. The only downside is that it takes a little practice when it comes to lighting and priming. With the fuel tank it's also a little more bulky then some other stoves but this stove will never fail and you can find fuel for it anywhere. | |

"great stove for teaching beginners"
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I bought a couple of these stoves for the backpacking class i teach during the summer. The kids, 12 to 16 yr olds, picked up using this stove really fast, especially since many of these kids have never been on a camping trip of any kind. Easy to store, set up, use and totally reliable. This is the perfect stove. | |

"hot and always hot" | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| This stove is just awsome. It heats up very quickly and it stays very hot. It is quite efficent on fuel. The best part is that you can burn all types of fuel in it and it still works. The stove is a great all around work horse and will keep you full all through your trip. | |

Best field repairable stove.
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I've used this stove for many years. It is so simple you can easily take it apart in the field and remove any clogs in the jet or line. Sometimes it is tough to simmer on and also tends to prime with too much fuel. But over all this is the best stove money can buy. | |
