Not as pretty as newer bottles who cares |

| I used to use these nalgene bottles while camping 10 years ago. Since then, they've come up with those colorful clear bottles (which had bpa), and the even newer colorful clear ones that are bpa-free. I still like the old ones since they are made of the softer polypropylene and last longer. I tried many other bottles for aesthetics, because this one just doesn't look the best. I bought a sigg bottle this year, and after putting it in the fridge on the top shelf (near the freezer compartment), it cracked. What a waste of [$]. This nalgene has lasted through it all. |

The best water bottle. |

One of my few 5-star ratings. I've seen the Lexan versions of Nalgenes break when taking small fall. However, I dropped this bottle from ~50 feet up a climb onto rocks and it was fine. I've also ran over it with a 3/4 ton truck and it got a little bent up but didn't leak and has mostly regained it's shape.
While it's not as pretty as the colored lexan ones, you can decorate it with stickers to make it look nicer! |

| I bought two for a weeklong backpacking trip, I now use them just about every day for casual use too. No cracks or broken bottles yet. No leaks. Out of habit I usually grab it by the little plastic loop that attaches the cover to bottle - and it has not snapped yet unlike other bottles I have had. |

| It's graduated, it attaches to water filters, can be run over by a car, I mean, what more can you ask of a water bottle? I've had mine since I was just a little kid, and it has held up through daily use, tough trips, races, and more. |

| I'm on my 2nd bottle. MI gave up my army surplus metal canteen and bought my first bottle which lasted 20 years! Went through many drops and hard bumps. I think it finally crumbled at a spot where it hit the ground earlier. |

The Best |

| These are the only ones we'll buy for the high country, and mountaineering season...they have never steered us wrong. Virtually unbreakable, and maintain a moderate temperature. Also very convenient with the wide mouth, and easy-to-latch lid loop. |

This is THE classic to use! |

| Save your money - there are more expensive bottles out there, but not better ones. This is THE best combination of quality, price, durability and convenience. You cannot go wrong with a solid, basic wide-mouth Nalgene. |
