highly visible vest | |

| As a commuter in the big city I am concerned with my visibility. The led feature on this vest is a great plus. I like that it has a flash feature. The long tail is nice, which led me to hope that I could use it over a back pack. The elastic band for the clips on the side are long enough to accomodate going over a back pack, however, the tail is just a little bit too short for extending to the bottom edge of my pack. It tends to hike up the pack in a bunch unless weighted down by putting a light or something in the back pocket of the vest. It has taken some time to figure out where the "on button" really is. Since the led strip slides in and out in order to change the battery, the "on button" changes positions. This a minor problem, though. It is a great vest, I am back for a second one to give to a friend. | |

Fantastic visibility for kids, too

| I bought this vest for my 7 year old son rather than choosing a children's vest. The adjustible elastic side straps with quick release cinch down well enough to keep it on over his rain jacket (which is a nearly invisible-in-the-rain navy blue). The LED strip in back is not bright in daylight, but its color and reflective stripes are still impossible to miss. As a bonus, I can extend the straps and he can wear it completely over his jacket and backpack while on his bicycle. We live in a high-traffic area and he rides on the sidewalk with me, but I am always concerned about motorists seeing me (in my neon yellow cycling jacket) and missing him. I'm very comfortable with him riding in it, and he says he doesn't even notice it's there. | |

Great reflective Vest | |

| I have used this for both cycling and running on the roads. I would add some sort of front light to your bike if you do a lot of riding in modertae to heavy traffic areas as i have found that oncoming traffic making left hand turns may not be able to see you while cycling because your chest is lowered while leaning over on ones handle bars and it obscures the vest from oncoming traffic | |

Stand out in your crowd...

| Easy to use and fit the need for visibility in urban biking. The lighting adds another level of safety for those rides that extend into the evening. I look for any advantage in the "US vs THEM" battle and this light weight vest helps me stay visible. | |

Not what I had hoped | |

| Jim from Oregon is right about the LED. It's awful. Mine didn't stay on unless the button was held down, just like his...UNTIL I figured out that if you push the bottom battery lower, to touch a metal strip that is sticking up, it will stay on, then you have to move the battery again to turn it off. Pretty tenuous and not what is advertised. Still, there are lots of reflective areas on this vest and I might keep it just for those. I don't think any of them are going to have great LED functionality; it seems cheaply made. If you really want great visibility via LED buy a Beacon by Ruffwear. Yes, it's for dogs but it can be clipped onto your zipper pull, pocket, etc. and it emits a bright light from 4 sides, steady or blinking. [...] | |

| On/Off switch did not work - it would only work when switch was held down on the "ON" position - once relesed it would not work. Good concept, color of vest was very bright/reflective. On/Off switch and battery holder looked very "cheap" and poorly constructed. To bad, since a little more work and higher quality switch and battery holder would have this a very good product. I live in Eugene, Oregon - we have an extensive bike path system, and safety products to be seen are very important. | |

Save your money & DON'T buy this one

| I ordered 2 of these vests so my daughter & I could ride after dinner. The vests reflective strips are great, but save your money if you think these LED's are worth the extra money! The soldering for the connection came apart and was just very poorly constructed in general; it was very flemsy. We had to adjust the batteries to even get the LED's to light. I wouldn't recommend this one if you're getting it for the LED. | |

| For road biking - OK For running, the up/down jarring/vibration have caused it to shut off now 3 out of 4 times - you don't notice this until you remove it. Makes me nervous realizing this after I my 1.5 yo son out in stroller - No Back Lighting! They should have tied the back LED into a front power button & extra LED strip. Good concept, poor design team. | |

LED light is poor; vest is great

| The vest is great, but the LED light seems poorly made. I bought this yesterday, and right out of the package there is a loose connection in the LED light. I can turn it on just fine, but any movement will cause it to turn off. I'm going to return it and get a different reflective vest and a better-constructed LED light. | |
