Glare is reflected light that travels on a horizontal plane. Virtually any surface can be a source of glare, including water, sand, pavement, ice and snow. The lenses in the Native Wazee Polarized Sunglasses incorporate a polarized filter, which absorbs the horizontal light, thus eliminating the glare. You're left with sharp, crisp, glare-free vision with increased contrast and depth perception.

Native Eyewear Wazee Polarized Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

I don't know what the last reviewer was thinking, but these shades are definitely polarized. If you're ever in question about whether or not lenses are polarized, simply look through them while rotating them in front of an LCD display (the display should suddenly appear dark when the sunglasses are rotated about 45 degrees, as most LCD displays have diagonal polarization filters). I docked comfort a star because the nosepad annoyingly had the Native logo embossed on both sides. My nose itched while wearing the glasses, and then I noticed it. The only logical reason I can think of for the logo would be to increase traction to prevent slippage, but I think it's entirely unnecessary and just plain dumb. I took a sharp blade and an emery board to it to "erase" the logo. Much better now. The temples are a little tight, but I prefer that to them being too loose. A bit on the larger side, but look great.

Nice Glasses - Lighter than Expected

The glasses are much more lightly constructed than how they look in the photos. The lack of heft left me initially concerned about their durability, but they've held up well so far. The lenses remain unscratched, but being plastic it's only a matter of time. I really like their coverage, fit and lense size. A good choice for moderately priced polarized sunglasses.

I have the tort with the sienna lens and these have been my go to shades all summer long. I have a medium size face and they fit perfectly. These are also very light weight and go perfectly with whatever adventure the day brings. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a pair of sporty, stylish, and comfy sunglasses.

These are a really good pair of polarized sunglasses. I have the maple tort with brown lenses and they are the best for clear vision and comfort out of all the glasses I have owned. I'm seeing things I never have before! I use them for looking good on town, mountain biking, canoeing and pretty much anything else.

Erik Blow at Backcountry.com on 08/15/2011

I've got a fat head and these fit just fine. Comfortable at the temples and the nose since they are pretty light. The tint on the grey lense is just about right, not too light or dark so fine for overcast days to cut glare. Overall, a good pair of shades.

These are my favorite all qround glasses. I don't run, bike or exercise in them. But they are great for eveything else! Nice looks and nive ventilation for no fogging when it gets hot at the pool or at the ball game. I have the gunmetal silver reflex.

John Pruitt at Backcountry.com on 06/02/2013

These were my go to shades- til I caught the ear piece on a door frame. Stupid- should have been wearing them not carrying them. but they were super awesome while i had them. they were great on the water, on the snow, driving, where ever.

Lightweight but not comfortable after wearing a long time. Definitely polarized and look pretty good. And I wish they had a hard case.

Negative Reviews:

I purchased a pair of polarized Wazee gunmetal/silver reflex sunglasses in Nov. 2010. In December, I sent them in for warranty because the lenses developed straight lines across each lens. I received new lenses at now cost and I put them in. They told me this has happened to other lenses. Six weeks later, these lenses developed the same lines across them also, I had them in their cover when this occurred. I am now wanting my money reimbursed. The sad thing, these are very comfortable to wear.

Doug Stringer at Backcountry.com on 02/18/2011
There comfort and style are actually great. I just want to give them a god awful rating because they break if you even touch them wrong. I hope people read this review because I wasted the money buying them and the money sending them back to replace them 3 different times. Durability is dirt poor. Please don't buy these cheap things. Native's are a rip off and a terrible company.

I bought these and the polarization feature is not good. I have other polarized glasses and these do not reduce glare at all. They are light and comfortable, but if you are looking for polarized lenses, threse arent the ones.

Neutral Reviews:

Mine just simply broke at hinge while wearing on top of my head(fathead not) fell inside wall at work all I have left is the broken ear piece, and native needs more then that to warranty the product..but have to admit they were comfy
