The low-profile, ultra-lightweight New Balance 101 trail running shoe is made for the neutral gait and features puncture-resistant toe material and ROCK STOP® in the forefoot to protect your feet from debris on the trail. Synthetic/mesh upper provides lightweight comfort and support. ASure Lace™ secure shoe laces provide added midfoot support and keep the shoe snug around the foot. EVA foam on the upper supports and cushions the Achilles. CTEVA™ midsole cushions and resists compression set. Rock Stop® embedded into forefoot provides protection from sharp rocks and debris. I really like these shoes but the gray around the shoe is reflective and actually looks green when you wear them. The picture makes it look like there is alot more gray. They are also super light weight but there isn't the most cushioning
Rapped with my NB 101
Very happy with my NB 101, Very light And Breathable,.Makes my trail running such a breeze, could have a little more grip when running over wet and slippery rocks. Makes my other running shoes feel like bricks.
This is my second pair of this particulat shoe... and I love them!

Too Lightweight
I was hoping that this shoe would've been a little more sturdy, considering that it is a New balance. The fit was fine, but the construction is flimsy. Its more of a summer shoe, instead of a year-round shoe. There is no arch support and the soles are fairly thin. My daughter loves them--she's 11 and loves flat shoes. Since she was the one who wanted them..if she's happy, I'm happy. I wouldn't buy them for myself.
