Great all-around rope! | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I really like this rope for the price. Here are my thoughts after 2 months of frequent use: Basic feelings are that this is a fine 10.2 mm rope. It's a great way to save the weight from a 10.5mm, yet it's durable. I really like the coating, and in my experience it makes for a very easy belay. I use a tarp when possible to keep dirt from building up so I didn't experience the issue another reviewer noted about dirt sticking. It's a little stiff straight from the store and did kink up a good bit, but it felt a lot nicer just after one day out with it and after two it was perfect. As far as wear is concerned, I have not noticed anything out of the ordinary and it is holding up quite well. If I could give one suggestion for improvement, it would be for the manufacturers to mark the middle of the rope. For a beginner, someone who doesn't want to shell out a ton of cash, or for someone who just wants to have one rope for everything, I don't think you'll find a better deal! | |

Awesome Value! | |

| I had the opportunity to use it for several days of hard use. Basically, it is an excellent rope and has the primary characteristics that I look for in a rope. Out of the bag, the rope had a slightly stiff, or cable feel to it, without being overly stiff. It also handled well out of the bag. Often times, brand new ropes kink for a few uses before they balance out to normal. It is the perfect blend of stiff rope (i.e. long wearing) and flexible (i.e. handles well and knots easily). I felt that this rope was an excellent value, and preformed better than other higher priced ropes I have used. | |

Good Rope for the price | |

| This is a great rope for the price. I actually bought mine over a year ago and used it a lot for casual climbs but also sport climbs in the 5.11 area. I like it, it clips good and because of its waterproofing its also fairly easy to pull when leading. Its a great all purpose rope and I would recommend it to any beginner and average climber. For more advanced accents and projects, I'd rather use something lighter. | |

Good beater rope | |

| Good inexpensive rope. I use this mostly at TR crags and sport. Flake the rope a few times before using it the first time, because it does have a lot of memory from the factory coiling. The sheath catches dirt and can be hard to feed through belay devices. This is my beater rope, because it is super durable. | |

Great Rope! | |

| I love this rope. Finally wore my last one out after two El Cap routes, several Diamond routes and years of multi-pitch and cragging. Seems like the last expensive, fancy bi-color I bought didn't last half as long. This is one of the best and most affordable ropes out there. Just ordered another one. | |

Light and Great | |

| It can be stiff at first, but after two or three times I used it the rope wasnt so stiff any more, its lightness is the very best attribute. Although its 10.2 M, its very safe and wear resistant, so that is no con but an excellent way to transport it in a best kind of light way. | |

Good rope | |

| I haven't had this rope long enough to know about its wear characteristics but it functions as it should. It isn't really that I would expect anything different, but I can't see the use in spending anymore on a rope unless you felt the need to go double dry (the kern is not dry treated, just the mantle). | |

Great Rope | |

| You won't find a better value for a dry treated, single dynamic rope. Handles very well, lightweight, and durable. It has been used for toprope climbs and has worked well. | |

Shorter than 60M! | |
| Rating: | ![]() |
| This rope was 60 yards which is fifteen feet shorter than the 60 meters it is advertised at. Be very careful if you have this rope and are doing a climb which need the full 60m rope! I'm glad I knotted the ends before rappelling. | |
