Looks big but looks are deceiving...

i purchased these because I had seen other Free Run 2+ shoes in the stores but not this color...I should have tried on the shoes I had seen first before ordering these. The shoes fit but the toe box looks wide and really isn't. These shoes tend to run a bit small in both length and width. In addition, the inside of the shoe that hits the top of your foot in the toe box, is a bit course. I don't know if I could see myself being comfortable without socks because of the area being rough. I hoped that they would better the Reebok Real Flex shoes I have. They are just as light and flexible, better looking but the finish on the inside makes them iffy. Time will tell though as I have only wore them a few days. I will say however, they seem to be fairly comfortable and haven't caused any issues so far...hope they become my summer stand by when sandals or flip flops don't cut it.

Best shoes ever

Love love love these shoes. Most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, period. People say they take a bit of getting used to. Not true in my case. They felt natural the first day I wore them. I have walked around the house and block before running. So far I have only run a mile in them as for my they are like running in bare feet compared to the over-engineered Asics and orthotics I have been wearing forever. I love these shoes so much I bought two pairs. I should buy 3. I LOVE the tongueless design on these shoes ! Why aren't all shoes tongueless??? I want to wear these shoes 24/7. I dread even putting any other shoe on! Note: they run snug so you may want to buy a half size up if you like breathing room in your shoes. Also, there is arch support in these shoes. Not sure how flat footers will fare.... although my left foot is almost flat and they still feel great

best all around running shoe

i have owned many pairs of running shoes in my past and 99% have been adidas and new balance. when i heard that nike came out with this shoe, my friend got a pair and never stopped talking about them. so i bought some and instantly fell in love. they are the most comfortable shoe i have ever wore and they are the lightest shoes ive ever wore. one thing i love about the nike free runs is that i can wear them barefoot and there is no difference! when i run in these shoes, i feel invincible in any race. i run faster with these shoes and would recomend them to any of my friends because i also wear them as everyday shoes because of how comfortable they are. i now have fallen in love with nike shoes and know that they are the best shoes on the market these days, especiallly for running.

AHMAZING

Probably the lightest shoe I have ever owned. My Nike Air Max 2011's felt like I was lugging around bricks on my feet but these are as light as a feather! I have the Shield models, which are amazing during winter and fall, but now in the spring it's getting a little hot down there. Still love them and would strongly recommend them. They have not ripped or anything, even with me wearing them every school day for about 3-4 months now. The only bad things is, and I don't know if it's just me, but my feet hurt after walking/standing/running around in them. I still have lots of room in the tip, which is great because it seems as if I have to get new shoes every 2 months because I grow so quickly!

Super awesome shoes !!

I was a bit skeptical at first from the reviews here and even from what my wife tells me about how good these shoes are. Anyway fast forward and I got myself a pair and boy they are everything positive what everyone has said about these.
Lightweight, breathable, comfortable. Doesn't even feel like your wearing shoes at all - more like socks with soles stuck on the bottom!! Only gripe is I wish nike would put the black rubber sole points on every part of the sole instead of selected zones. This would increase grip and durability. I did try it with a sports insole and felt it gave a bit too much support around my heel. The soles that come with the shoes are sufficient for having a great all round comfy shoe.

Nike does it right.

Nike Free Run 2's are easily my favorite running shoe of all time. I bought the first version of the Free Runs, and these are a definite step up. Not only do they look stylish and can be worn casually, they offer adequate support, breathable material, and always feel good on your feet. You'll never get a blister. They offer good arch support, but the heel support leaves something to be desired, so make sure to get the right size. For example, I normally wear size 12 shoes, but ordered an 11.5 and they feel perfect. All in all, the Nike Free Run 2 running shoes are excellent, and a definite must, especially if you're a Nike guy like me.

The Shoe was comfortable over all, but didn't last

I loved these shoes because of how light they were, and how great they felt on my feet. They shoes are extremely comfortable to walk in, and especially to run in. Although i loved these shoes, they only lasted me about 3 months. I train every day and run every type of terrain (street, track, dirt, grass, etc.). By the end of the third month, the whole bottom of the shoes was completely worn off and i literally could see my sock coming out of the bottom of the shoe. I highly recommend this shoe for walking and slight training purposes, but i don't recommend this shoes for every day extreme training use.

Surprised - Perfect Treadmill Shoe!

Just got these shoes today and took them to the gym. I had been having issues with different shoes on the treadmill at the gym. I would have shin problems and knee problems off and on. Then I would just have soreness somewhere along my lower leg. Tried basketball shoes, casual shoes, track shoes. I decided to try these and I can honestly say I was shocked. No pain and I could finally run without pain. The support is great and the shoes are extremely light. I was afraid of twisting my ankle due to the fabric like upper but had no issues. Running was finally fun again. I'm 6'0" 190lbs btw.

Light, Flexible, Comfortable

Got these shoes yesterday, and I couldn't be happier. Unbelievably light, flexible, and comfortable...they feel more like socks than shoes! I did order a size larger than my usual size because these do not come in extra widths, and I'm glad I did. They aren't unacceptably small, but if you are like me and plan on wearing socks with these shoes, I would suggest sizing up. I decided I will be wearing these as my "everyday" shoes rather than just for running, so I picked the Gray/White/Black color scheme since it's more neutral and will match almost anything. Bottom line: buy the Nike Free Run +2, you won't regret it!

All around great shoe, no regrets

I am a cross country/track runner, so I run a lot. I used to be a new balance wearer, but after hearing about these from friends, I gave them a shot, and instantly fell in love. It was a bit awkward to adjust, but after a few runs they worked like a charm. I ran a couple 5ks and even a half marathon in them with absolutely no problems. They look great and my feet feel so comfortable in them. Have recommended them to friends, and they thank me for doing so. Highly recommend these, you'll never go back to another kind of running shoe.

Negative Reviews:

I am so bummed to return these! They are so cute, but the heel is so narrow, we couldn't even get them on our 2.5 year old little girl's feet! They run true to size for length, but are very narrow, and we had this same problem with another pair of Nike shoes I ordered for her. She doesn't have huge ankles, just normal toddler feet. Keen brand fits her great, these were a bummer to not fit. But Zappos customer service rocks!
Anonymous at Zappos.com on 07/06/2011

these shoes are too tight

I guess you don't always get better by paying more. I was very disappointed in these shoes. Though they were very light weight, they were extremely narrow and the arch was way to high for comfort. These shoes will be returning to sender.

The color was awful!

The color shoe I ordered was NOT the shoe I received. I knew I was ordering orange, but I didn't want NEON orange, and that is what I got! The color just wasn't for me, and was deceiving on the website.
BaxterBal at Footlocker.com on 04/05/2012

Not true to size!!!

I bought this shoe because I have and liked the first free run
Which was a 15 and fit great! I ordered this shoe which said it
Was also a true fit, I got a 15 and it fits like a 13!
Bigwill3 at Footlocker.com on 01/31/2012

Sizing is way off compared to other shoe manufact

I wear a 7.5 to 8 in every other pair of shoes. Nike's arrogance shows through in that I bought 8.5 and were still too small. Now they are setting own size standards?
rockhawk at Footlocker.com on 05/15/2012
Shoes were sewn differently, One shoe was not the same as the other. I would think quality control is lacking!
homebrewman at Footlocker.com on 03/22/2012

over used and over priced

the shoe is comfortable to run in, but it wears out to fast and is beyond over priced

Great shoe, but forced to return...

Love the shoe, but The Nike+ sensor holder squeaked (under left insole). Replacement pair was fine

Not for a daliy track sprinter

Overall i love the shoe but being a 100-200m sprinter at a JuCo and the rest of my team wearing the same free runs because its "cool" and "nike" everyone had the same problem as me. Doesn't matter if your a middle distance runner to a jumper to a sprinter, the drills and running we do on a daily basis really breaks down the show real fast and only lasts for about 2-3 months before the foam sole is basically gone. Doesnt help that there is no arch support at all usually leads to foot pains and shin splints which are no fun. Dont get me wrong i like them there awesome shoes but not ment to be run for a day the consists of 12 200s or 6 300s. maybe for days when its just all core work
jgars22 at Footlocker.com on 02/25/2012
I had to exchange these several times to get the right size. Also, I had to swap out the elastic laces and they were way way too tight for my toddler to get on by herself. Then when we did get them on and took them off after a while the elastic lines were on her feet! The only reason we keep them was that they were so cute.
Anonymous at Zappos.com on 11/12/2011

Not for the serious runner

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn, but they are not for the serious runner. More than 30 miles a week caused major shin splints in my left leg. Recovering from shin splints is a waste of time. These would be ok for the runner who maybe goes for 15-20 miles a week, but not any more than 30. These shoes have a lack of cushioning.

Good Shoes just not great for running

I like the design of these shoes alot. I like the lightwieght and comfort of these shoes also. I do not like the intersoles. They arer paperthin and there is no cushion. So I had to invest in a nicer pair of insoles. There is also no arch support. Good hang out shoes, not good running shoes.
Nico123 at Footlocker.com on 03/06/2012

Decent Shoes

These shoes are not all that comfortable! They are very lightweight however! I would recommend swapping out insoles for a softer feel. If you do so, go a half size up. Pretty durable shoe as well which is a major plus! Overall, a pretty decent shoe. Not as comfortable as Air Maxes!
jayhi22 at Footlocker.com on 03/05/2012
Do not buy this shoe for a toddler unless you have a toddler shoe horn! I bought this for my 3 year old daughter and it takes me a good 10 minutes to get them on her! Once on, they are comfortable for her and they breath well in the summer time.
Anonymous at Zappos.com on 07/15/2011
This shoe is shown as a BANANA YELLOW online, but it is definately a LIME GREEN when you see it in person. The color is very decieving - I would recommend this SHOE, but not the color if you are looking for a yellow.
B392 at Footlocker.com on 04/11/2012

Not the color I expected

The color of these shoes is MUCH different from the images on the website. The orange is very neon and the grey is a bit darker... Annoyed at first but I'm just Rolling with it.

We could not get our foot into the opening.

We could not get our foot into the opening. With no tongue or the ability to open the laces, the opening was too small.
Otherwise, loved the shoe.
