The Nike Air Max Tailwind+ 2009 Men's Running Shoe blends plush landings with responsive toe-offs. The Air Max Tailwind is ideal for the underpronated to neutral-gait runner. Nike+ is designed for athletes who like to run with music and who want to measure and monitor their progress toward their goals. To get instant workout feedback, you’ll need Nike+ ready shoes and either a Nike+ SportBand or an iPod nano and Nike + iPod Sport Kit (which includes a sensor and iPod nano receiver). When placed under the sockliner of the left Nike+ ready shoe, the sensor measures your pace, distance, time elapsed and calories burned. This information is transmitted wirelessly to the receiver for real-time audio feedback while you listen to your favorite workout music.

Running shoe built for the neutral to underpronator who requires enhanced cushioning and extended durability.
Open mesh upper with thin supportive overlays for a comfortably breathable fit.
Full-length polyurethane midsole for unsurpassed durability.
Maximum heel Air-Sole unit for great cushioning at heel strike.
Maximum forefoot Air-Sole unit for great forefoot feel and cushioning.
Nike+ enabled allows you to insert Nike+ technology into the shoe to keep track of your progress. Nike+ sensor not included.
Abrasion resistant BRS 1000 carbon rubber in high wear areas with articulated segments of Duralon across the forefoot for durability/cushioning and to encourage a neutral toe-off. Segments of solid rubber in a waffle fill configuration for durability and increased traction on different surfaces.

Ideal if you're a runner with an under-pronated to neutral gait who values visible technology and seeks a shoe that blends plush landings with responsive toe-offs. The non-pressurized Air-Sole unit in the heel functions as a system to respond dynamically to your cushioning needs. The Air-Sole unit is sandwiched between a soft Cushlon base and a molded TPU top-plate, which cups the heel for added support and stability. When loaded slowly-say, at a walk or easy jog-the system provides maximum deflection for a soft, cushioned ride, but when loaded quickly, the system delivers added response to help you pick up your pace.

The Nike Air Max Tailwind+ 2009 running shoe is made for the runner who needs big time durability and great cushioning. Open and breathable mesh upper with thin supportive overlays adds great fit. Full-length PU midsole gives unsurpassed durability. Maximum Air-Sole® units in heel and forefoot provide cushioning. BRS 1000™ outsole with Waffle® design delivers great traction on a variety of surfaces. Wt. 12.8 oz.

| I had heard of Zappos. In fact, I had seen a program about your company I believe it was on CNN. The story focused on the owner and how he treated his employees and how he wanted his customers to have good customer service no matter what. And in this day in age that is hard to come by with some companies. I had decided that when I needed shoes or whatever I would order from Zappos. So I did and received great service. Keep up the good work and I will order from Zappos again. And always treat your great employees with respect because without them great service can't happen. I was very pleased with the shoes I received and the fast shipping. Thanks so much. | |

| I have worn over five different models of Nike running shoes and have been a fan of the air max. These Tailwinds are great. I weigh 230 pounds which causes a lot of constant pounding on the roadway. I run approximately 20 miles a weeks and have about 300 miles on my Tailwinds so far with no problems or excessive wear. These shoes do a great job with absorbing the impact and reducing the pain of shin splints. They also have great traction for running the trails and dirt roads. I recommend these shoes! | |

| Most comfortable NIKE sneaker yet... I am a female who has a normal width foot but wide toe base so I wear men's sneakers that are far more comfortable when I run. I run 7-9 miles on weekend and these are the best sneakers yet -- Very cushioned for both the heel and the toe base so no achy feet at the end of a long run -- highly recommend -- in fact I bought two pair since NIKE tends to change styles quickly... | |

| I am very happy with these shoes so far. I am an average runner and run about 7-8 miles a week. They have great cushion and spring you forward from the air pillows under the toes. I did put in a Glenco cross-trainer intersole to further help the cushioning, so I would advise the same. | |

| I also have an L4/L5 ruptured disc so I was looking for a shoe with some cushion. Very satisfied, definitely eases my walk/jogs. I bought from Altrec off of Amazon. Right order, good delivery time, but I wish they qualified for Amazon Prime. | |

| Great Cushioning - I bought these for a workout program and they work beautifully. They totally absorb the shock from all of the jumping around during the plyometrics routine. They are really nice looking too. | |

| Love the shoe. Looks great although I found they run a little small so be sure to try them on before hand. Otherwise, very comfortable used as an everyday shoe. | |

| I have slight supination and bought these shoes for support, switching from my Asics Nimbus Gels for Nike+ Tech. These shoes gave me terrible shin splints and overall seemed over-cushioned. By that I mean they felt squishy. There's not much flexibility in the toes, either. It's a well crafted shoe, but just wrong for my foot. | |
