Nike Zoom Vapor Carbon Fly TD - This lightweight cleat has Nike's smart design elements like Flywire and Zoom Air™ for the fastest athletes in the game. The Nike Zoom Vapor Carbon Fly football cleat has an integrated dynamic tongue for ultimate lockdown and Nike Flywire technology for maximum support and minimal weight. Flywire is composed of ultra-thin nylon threads that are designed to add the same amount of support as a standard upper but at a fraction of the weight. Reduced weight means more of the muscle action on the field is going towards your game than towards the effort of lifting the cleat off the ground. A Zoom Air™ unit in the midsole offers responsive cushioning. The injected Pebax® frame has a carbon fiber insert for ultimate response and propulsion. That carbon fiber insert gives more support to the lightweight Pebax® to drive your stride. With a weight of only 9.9 ounces, this molded cleat is poised to make you fly on the field.

Nike Zoom Vapor Carbon Fly TD Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

Best traction ever

I have had this cleat for a few seasons now and no matter what the weather is, it does not slip. I've played in mud bowls, on turf, on frozen grass, and never slipped with this cleat. The only down side is that it runs really small, I wear a 14 and ended up needing a 15 and if was still super tight. The width for me was perfect because I have a narrow foot, but in general the cleat runs pretty narrow. All of this pales in comparison to the maneuverability and traction this cleat allows. Its like running barefoot because the cleat is so light, when you need to plant, cut, or change direction, you will not be let down by your cleat. I have had the same pair for three seasons now and am completely satisfied. The cleats have not degraded at all or worn down which is a huge problem with most the molded cleats out there. Also the cleat works well in all types of weather, Its comfortable at 105 degrees and -20 degrees. Hands down the best cleat on the market.

Great cleat - if you can get your foot in it!

Clear pattern is the same as past Nike designs - works well. Though I always worry about outside cleats breaking off, as happened to my last cleat (Nike Speed Tds). This cleat feels snug and secure on my foot but it is VERY difficult to put on. The tongue is joint by tight elastic to the side of the boot, so fitting your foot in almost requires a shoe horn. I wear an ankle brace which makes it even more difficult to get cleat on one foot.
Once on your feet though the cleats feel good and are relatively light. Not too tight once on, but nice and snug.
Given my need for an ankle brace, I wouldn't buy these again (too hard to get on), but someone with no such issues would be happy with these cleats.

Best Cleat

When you use these cleats on the field you will feel the lightness of the cleat. However what sets this cleat apart from the competition is the way Nike designed the studs on the bottom. The grip is top notch and no other company can compare. If you are looking for light cleats with the best grip on the market these are the ones for you. However, you may need to tape your ankles when wearing these. If not you can get some bad injuries because they don't provide any ankle support They are pretty narrow at first but when you break them in they provide a snug and fit that feels like its wrapping around your foot.

Very Good Cleat But takes awhile to Breek In!!

This is a very good cleat to have it is light and it is durable. Also they look great probably the best nicest cleat Nike made so far. The only bad problem is they take about a full week to break in. The first 3 days are going to hurt so bad on the side of your foot and your arch. But the rest of the days it will hurt but not as bad. Also recommend you get .5 or 1 whole size bigger than normal shoe size. Besides that it is a very good cleat. I play football in College and everyone who has these says the same exact thing

amazing

These cleats are the best i have ever owned. They're super lightweight and have great traction on most playing surfaces. And the zoom bags make these really comfortable. I play WR so i needed somtehing light and fast so i got these and i have no regrets. the only thing that is a little issue is that since they're low cut and i kinda have weak ankles, i'd want to wear ankle braces sometimes, but the tongue is attached all the way to the top so i can't. but other than that, great cleat, worth the money, highly recommended.

i just got them. they run really narrow and small. i suggest ordering them at least a full size bigger than normal. im a 8.5 in sneakers, and slightlty wide footed, i ordered a 9, and there still really snug. you dont even have to tie the shoe laces because the toungue is attatched to the shoe, so theyre diffucult to get on, i needed a shoe horse (havent needed one of those in a long time lol) but overall theyre super light, and look really good on the field as well.

Frikin raw cleats

At first i bought these for spring practice and i got the wrong size, once i got the right one i played through spring football, through summer lax and summer conditioning, and into the middle of the season. These cleats are the best cuts are super easy, alot lighter than i thought, at first they are uncomfortable but once you break them in, its like wearing nothing on ur feet. I love these cleats. ankles may be a problem but grab some spats or ankle wraps and u will love them

Best all around shoe for skill position

bought these half way through the season last year and i will never regret paying the little extra to get these cleats. Best pair of cleats i have ever worn. they do run narrow so i have to buy a size 13 instead ofmy normal 12 so i have excess toe room, really doesnt matter at all. even though their low they have great support. I say if you play skill and can afford these cleats dont think twice and just buy them, you wont regret it

Perfect pair of cleats!

These are hands down the best football cleats I've ever had. My advice to you though is break them in before you start any serious football because they tend to hurt you arch for probably the first 3 days you wear them. After this though they are super comfortable! Also I wear an 11 normally but had to go to 11 1/2! You could possibly even need to go up 1 extra size if you have wide feet. Fantastic overall pair of cleats though!
TheSnord at Eastbay on 08/18/2011

I suggest these cleats for fast skilled athletes.

Once you try them on it'll be hard to get your feet in there but after awhile it'll loosen up and be easier to wear. They also look very great on the field and are much better than the vapors 4.2
I really do recommend these Vapor Carbon Fly for fast skilled athletes and if you're also lookin for some swag on the field.
But last thing, I actually recommend size .5 or a whole size bigger because these cleats snug real tight inside.

Negative Reviews:

Heel cleats break off!!!!!!

I've always been a vapor guy and love last years pair. I'm not impressed with this years model, although they look great they took a long time to break in, and when I just got them broke in the heel cleats on the outside of the shoe broke off! I bought two pair and unfortunately it happened with both pair. Good looking shoe, but if you play on a firm ground surface all season long don't expect them to last.
liveit29 at Eastbay on 03/12/2011

Worst Clear I've ever bought!

Im a runningback, and these cleats are just too dang
small, I ordered these cleats a size bigger (10), and it took me almost 4 days to break them in, not only that but there also very heavy, and very bad traction, I used them in the snow, muddy fields, and there just not worth it. Worst Cleat Ever!
Oregon3022 at Eastbay on 03/04/2012
i bought these shoes twice, and both times after just a month or so one of the 4 rear stud broke up.. the same thing had happenede to some of my teammates... i strongly don't recommend this product, even though these shoes has a strong grip and they are comfortable.
albe7 at Eastbay on 06/05/2012

Falls Apart Quickly

My son wore these shoes for 2 weeks and the back cleats fell off on the football field. His teammate also ordered the same shoe and had the exact problem. Not a good quality shoe. Cleats are expected to last longer than 2 a days!
ZM052 at Eastbay on 08/15/2011

bad durability

Don´t buy them! lost the cleats (yes i´ve lost the molded cleats). they changed the cleats compared to last years model. this has also happened to my teammates (so its not onlya production default on my cleat!)

These Cleats Are Terrible!

i have had many cleats before and these are the worst i have ever had. They have fallen apart, and made my feet hurt SO bad!

Neutral Reviews:

Not quite.

These cleats seem to be almost perfect. I tryed them for the first time this week-end. Although they seem to fit right on, there seems to be to much place for the toes. As I was playing defense (Ultimate) me toes keep hitting inside and I had to take them off after one game. What's weird is that when i'm just standing there is not much place for my toes to move in there and it really seems to be the kind of fit that I'm used to. Since I'm used to mid size cleats, maybe it takes a little used to. I just hope they're gonna break a little and get more comfortable.
Hucker at Eastbay on 08/01/2011

good overall performance until rear cleat failed

These shoes have performed very well. Been using them since spring football and now the team is entering state playoffs. Only worn on turf fields, never anything else. Unfortunately, one of the rear cleats has fallen off the shoe (never had a cleat come off of a molded sole before). Now left without a shoe and having to deal with hassles of mail ordered goods...you know, send it back, have it looked at by customer service, get an answer weeks later, season is now over, etc... I wouldn't say don't buy them, but beware.
GoHard at Eastbay on 10/20/2011

great design; cleats break off too easily

These are light and agile shoes. That's their strength. But we've witnessed on many pairs that the cleats break off quite quickly. You're lucky to finish one season. Would encourage Nike to look at better material or design of these. Still, would buy them again.
Abbyparent at Eastbay on 12/18/2011

Good fit once broken in but cleat fell out of shoe

Long to break in but comfortable once broken in.
Good traction except when a cleat falls out, happen to me and 1 other player. I would try them again before I write them off totally because once broken in they were a good cleat
Fryze at Eastbay on 04/09/2012

color

the maroon cleats appear maroon and even say maroon in the catalog but i ordered the cleats and they are very much a bright red almost a cardinal red.
