Figure Nine Tightener
Tight Lines - No Knots
Great for Tarps!
I like the fact that I can quickly readjust the tarp as well. I sleep in a hammock under my speer winter tarp and if the weather turns for the worst I like to be able to tighten up lights or quickly remove them and relocate them (like if I want to set my tarp up higher for shade or lower for rain protection).
They're also very light and very strong (holds up to 50 pounds...plenty for my tarps). If it gets really windy out you might want to tie a slippery half hitch for peace of mind, but you can generally leave it be.
