The 2010 NiteRider MiNewt Mini-USB bike light has all the features that made it a smash hit last year, with 1 big change. The newest version features an informative battery charging indicator.

Nite Rider’s MiNewt Mini-USB may be the first bike light powered by a Li-ion battery you can charge from the USB port of your PC or from a wall outlet. Flexible charging and flexible mounting options top the bill and the light puts out over 110 Lumens and runs for three hours on a charge. Re-juice your light in just four and a half hours with the Smart Charger (included). The light fits handlebars up to 31.8mm (1.25in) and weighs just 175g (0.38lb). MiNewt Mini-USB boasts a class-leading Lumens per dollar ratio.

MiNewt Mini - Big Light on a Budget
| Rating: | ![]() |
I've been using the MiNewt Mini for 2 years and I really love this light. No problems from 100F down to -20F and it weighs hardly anything. The light is definitely bright enough to roll downhill at 35mph comfortably, but I do supplement with a head light on the mtn. bike trails so I can see past switchbacks. Very easy to move from bike to bike too.

Good for bike path | |

| Works well for bike path. Beam is strong enough to see in front and a bit to the sides. Lights up obstructions. It is very light weight and the battery and light remove easily. | |

Weak Beam | |

| This is a glorified AAA light. It's been out for 1.5 years and is already outdated. Cygo has a 150 lumen one piece Lithium Ion light out right now for the same price. I'd wait for NiteRider's next generation light. 110 lumens is not enough! With 110 lumens, you can be seen but you cannot see! | |
