Nixon Lodown TI Watch Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

This watch is sick! I get compliments all the time -- from random kids in my university classes, not surfers or sailors. The tides are on the money and accurate for just about any spot you'd want to surf at...even if the exact beach isnt there, you'll be able to get a very good idea of the tides (i.e. Santa Catalina is under Panama Pacific...). The main reason I give such a good review, aside from the style and awedome DUAL!!! tide function is NIXON -- they are a top notch company and when my first Lodown had an issue after a year of heavy use offshore sailing and surfing, they replaced it at no charge no questions asked -- after I mailed it in with a check for a new battery etc. AWESOME. If you're looking for a tide watch, this is the one.

As you can tell from a few reviews, we were having some issues with the Lodown.
When we launched this watch we wanted to use better quality materials than the current tide watches on the market. We went ahead and used a mineral crystal instead of an acrylic because the mineral is much more durable and scratch resistant. Down the road we found out that the bonding agent used to seal the face to the case was failing, this caused water to leak into the casing. We have since addressed this issue and all Lodowns now have an updated acrylic crystal guaranteed not to leak.
So get off your ass, put on your Lodown, and head out to one of the 200 pre-programmed beaches to catch some lefts....brah.

Great Surf Watch. Tides are on track, but forecasting is a little difficult if you're tying to plan a trip a few months out.. You're better off using the internet in this case. But if you need to know when the tide push is for your dawn session, look no further - it's easy to read. The Titanium face gets good compliments on a regular basis, too.
This was and still is my surf watch and I've had no issue with saltwater corrosion or leaky housing. The band fits well, doesn't stretch over time and doesn't grow the funk either. A little fresh water rinse does it good.
Worth every penny. I've dropped this a few times right on the face, and no cracks!

I still have my lowdown ti, not working but it last me a few years of intense surfing in many beaches of puerto rico before getting any foggy problems ,so i'm wonderind if the problem happens more with the regular than the titanium one cause honestly i think the lowdown ti is a great watch, just an honest and thruthfull review by the way it was my dailt watch all the time and actually wanting another one until i saw this reviews they got me thinking if the quality went south
