A good backup safety system

Great purpose, bulky design. I prefer the inflatable ones. However if you were to double the paddle float as a seat in your kayak or canoe, that would make its bulk more usefull.

Love it, mostly as a seat

This works as a paddle float, although it does not have as much float as the blow up paddle floats. However, it is really fast to get onto your paddle and thus it gets you back in your kayak faster :) I am a touring kayaker and I hope never to have to rescue myself. However, this make an awesome seat for around camp. I was kayak backpacking for a week in Pictured Rocks in the UP of Michigan and I had the best seat of the group all week. You always have a dry cushioned seat. It also works well to play cards on. I would recommend this to anyone. It is a little large though and doesn't look as streamlined on your kayak but it it bright and make you more visible.
