CAME UNSTICHED AFTER LITTLE USAGE

These are comfortable paddling gloves suitable for cool, not cold conditions. I had used them about 6 times when the seam on the back of the left hand came unstitched. After calling NRS I sent them back for repair. They did a very sloppysewing job that makes me wish I just put a piece of duct tape on them and saved the [$] return postage.
great warmer weather paddle glove

I bought a pair of these 3 years back when I attended a spring White water class. They worked great in the icy spring river water when I was very active.
After that I used them that fall when I was fitness paddling. I used them extensively and as I was mostly fitness paddling, and working hard they always kept my hands warm enough.
As winter came on and the water got colder, and the winds picked up, I found that on the coldest days my hands would get cold, thats when I discovered pogies :)
They are wonderfully thin, and flexible, and provide excellent grip on my paddle without being too delicate to take plenty of abuse.
I have used them since then on multiple sea kayak trips, and they are still going strong.
I would strongly recomend this glove, but its not going to work for everyone, everywhere. Use it where it shines ( in warmer conditions) and know when to switch to pogies, or a thicker glove.
great gloves for preserving dexterity

Certainly fit is a personal issue, but for me these gloves fit perfectly and allow me to use my DSLR almost as easily as without gloves. They're not waterproof, they're more like a wetsuit for your hands. The grip pattern on the palm and fingers is great - smooth but very non-slip.
Good for grip, but not for warmth

My husband and I purchased this for winter paddling (dragon boating), but does not provide as much protection as we would like. It does keep our hands a little warmer than they normally would be without any gloves at all, but water does penetrate and does not dry quickly. My husband still used the gloves in the summer time for better grip on his paddle and I will continue to use mine in the winter until I find a better pair.
Must Have!

Used for dragonboat on a carbon fiber paddle and these absolutely will not let you slip! stretches and fits tight...actually lost one and bought another pair! probably not for cold/severe weather.
Feeble

I bought hese gloves because of the thin material, that I thought would make putting the skirt around a kayak cockpit easier -- but all the seams around the fingers make the glove more clumsy than a thicker pair. Leaks through all the seams. Worst of all, the gloves invert easily when you take them off, and if they're wet, it'll take you 10 minutes to get them on again. Hardly practical for a day of active kayaking. I soon replaced the ones I bought with much better gloves made by LL.Bean and O'Neill.
Seam broke on 2nd use

Gloves seemed effective and fit well the first time I wore them. I really like how grippy the palms are. But when removing them after the second use the seam above the thumb split. I've now got a hole about an inch long running down the side of the glove. Good fit and nice sticky palm but may be a bit too fragile.
Nice glove, mild weather only

Like the fit of the glove. Provided a secure grip on paddle. The advertisement should suggest it as a mild weather glove.
