Northern River Supply Hydroskin - Short-Sleeve - NRS Women's HydroSkin Kayak Shirt - Cut and designed for women, the NRS womenâ??s HydroSkin kayak shirt is warm by itself on cool days, and makes an ideal mid-weight addition between a thermal inner layer and a windproof outer shell. Terraprene is warmer, lighter, and more comfortable than traditional oil-based neoprenes. PowerSpan and Spandex increase multi-directional stretch for greater comfort and support. A titanium laminate adhesive aids in body heat retention, adding to HydroSkinâ??s superior versatility as either an outer or base layer. The ThermalPlush inner lining increases insulation, repels moisture and dries quickly, while the DWR coating forces water to "bead" and roll off the material. Wear it alone in the warmer months or as part of a layering system as the temperature drops. The perfect addition to your gear bag, the NRS womenâ??s HydroSkin kayak shirt is a fashion

The NRS Women's Hydroskin Top provides heavyweight core insulation to keep you warm in the water while the short-sleeve design keeps you from overheating out of the water. Wetsuits often seem too bulky and just overkill, but that's not the case with this comfortable rash guard. Grab this top for an early season creek-boating run or a play day during a mid-winter warm spell. A PowerSpan exterior gives the Hydroskin Rash Guard excellent durability while the ThermalPlush fleece lining keeps your skin from feeling clammy.

Northern River Supply Hydroskin - Short-Sleeve Reviews:

.5mm neoprene combined with a rash guard material feel in the arm pits makes for the perfect cold water base layer. I also noticed that it has antimicrobial treatment to keep the odor down. I used the Hydroskin in combination with a semi dry top; thin enough to layer without loss of movement. First time out consisted of a foggy 5 hour ocean paddle in October, followed by 2 hours of roll practice and some surf. I will also mention that this product has amazing warmth and water shedding ability.

I wore this shirt for white water rafting in water temps that started around 55 degrees F and ended around 62 by the end of the day. The shirt kept me warm, and although it's neoprene and meant to stay close to your body, it wasn't uncomfortable or too tight. The only drawback for me - and this is a personal preference - is that the shirt is long and came down past my hips. It was a little tricky with bunching when sitting, but not too annoying.

I use this shirt every time I get on the river. Even when it gets down to an outside temperature of 40 degrees, I'm still very warm kayaking in this
