Great Bag for the Essentials
| Rating: | ![]() |
| I was putting together a road maintenance kit to for those "just in case" situations. Mainly having to deal with a flat. I originally got a Topeak bag but couldn't use it. The problem is that my seat is all the way forward on the post. There wasn't enough gap on the bottom part of the rails for the clip. So back it went. Instead I got this Novara bag. I got it because it uses elastic straps vs plastic clips. I was able to thread the straps through the seat rails with no problem and get it hooked up. The Velcro strap on the front attached to the seat post and it fit great, there was still enough room for my bike light on the back (though it has a strap for one if needed). Once I got it on I was able to fill it with all the basics. A 700x30 tube, CO2 Inflation kit, spare cylinder, 3 tire levers, a mini tool, some cash and room to spare. If I really jammed it in there I could probably get about 1/3 more stuff in. But right now it all fits and is easy to access. Pros Flexible mounting system Plenty of Room Cons No separate pocket like some of the others Conclusion If your looking for a good bag that will fit a variety of seats this one is a contender. | |

Nice design, but not quick release.

| Holds a tube, levers, patch kit, keys and a multi-tool. Holds on pretty well, with a nice shape that stays out of the way. I haven't tried the light loop yet, but it looks nice and beefy. Only thing is, with trying to get the buckle through the small loop on the bottom, it's not all that quick to get on and off. If you just ignore the loop and pull the strap tightly, you're good to go though. | |
