Coat looks and feels great

Rating:****

Today I just got my green Oakley Assault Jacket from Steep and Cheap and so far I love it. It is not the 'lite' version and I'm not sure how it differs but I'm assuming that they are close enough to the same that I could write a helpful review. First off I love the color scheme, I got the green one and it looks great along with the brown liner it looks pretty cool. Another thing that I like right off the bat is the amount of pockets on the coat. When I go skiing I like to bring various candy bars and snacks along and there are enough pockets on this coat to keep me well supplied. I'm 6'2" and about 190-200lbs and got the medium based off of other reviews and the coat fits great. I only gave it 4 stars because I just got the coat and didn't think it would be right to base a 5 star review off of just cosmetics and feel. Hopefully I wont be disappointed when I do actually get to ski with it. Hope my review was somewhat helpful minus not being able to say anything about how it works on the slopes, you'll at least know you are getting a nice looking coat.

Great buy

Rating:*****

This jacket is a great buy! It is light, runs a bit large, but gives you everything you need if it be snowboarding or just winterwear. I dont use it for snowboarding but it is built for it, it wont let any snow in from underneath or through the wrists and the magnets help in keeping the hood on.

Great jacket

Rating:*****

This is a great jacket. I am also 6'3" but closer to 235 and an XL fits perfectly. It does run slightly large, but the sleeves aren't too long nor is it too baggy. Very solid construction and very waterproof. Love the magnets on the hood to hold it back when not being used.

Great Jacket

Rating:*****

I got it off tramdock for a steal of a deal. Backcountry touring this weekend it definitely stopped the wind and had decent breathability. As recommended, I bought a size smaller and it fit perfectly. The one con is the core venting is blocked by backpack straps (similar to some North Face jackets)

Sizing runs large

Rating:****

Warning....the sizing runs very large. I'm 6'3", 200 lbs and I typically wear an XL. I ordered an XL but when I tried it on, I was swimming in it. It was HUGE! I actually returned it for a medium and it fits great.

Huge

Rating:***

This jacket is massive. I'm 6'-4", 225 lbs, got the XL, and this thing wears like a tent. I imagine it is good for the baggy look, but I think I could have achieved that with the Large. The pit and pocket zips are definitely sticky, and hard to manage with gloves. The interface with the liner is clunky, too -- using buttons and loops instead of hook-and-loop or snap fasteners. Plus, the sleeve buttons are about 6" up the sleeve, making it difficult to insert the liner without taking the whole thing off. I personally don't like wearing liners when I ride, so it's not that big of a deal to me, and I got an extra jacket out of the deal. Overall, the jacket is definitely sweet and bomber, and as long as you plan on just wearing it together or in layers and not making a lot of changes. If you can pick it up for a deal and like Oakley equipment, then go for it. But unless you like your shell super-big, get it a size smaller than usual.
