Snow goggle technology has been in a deep freeze for decades.
Oakley is fanatics about everything to do with gravity, risk and snow capped peaks, and some of the greatest athletes on the mountain rely on our innovations. That’s why they tore apart the whole concept of goggles and reinvented them from scratch. The result is Oakley Splice®. To understand what they mean, you have to try on these goggles. Period. When you do, you’ll experience the unbelievable comfort of their skeletal support system. It took a ton of anatomical engineering, and the end result is a unique architecture that spans the entire nasal area. The internal support system reduces pressure on the nose by tuning the distribution of contact forces across critical zones. As if that’s not enough, it also maximizes airflow. The support system works with O Matter® frame material that remains flexible even in extreme cold. Combined with moisture wicking triple-layer fleece foam and strap outriggers that evenly balance pressure, the system makes this design one of the most comfortable goggles ever created for winter sports. Splice has an interchangeable lens design that features semi-flush lens mounting, a means of optimizing downward visibility. Side-to-side vision is also maximized. Our designers matched optical innovations in lens contouring with structural refinements, so even the strap outriggers are engineered to stay out of the way and help maintain a panoramic view with wide-open peripheral vision. The Oakley tech team went even further, devising a way to eliminate the keyhole structures that normally come with interchangeable lens designs. The process of lens changing has never been faster or more efficient. All Splice lenses are dual vented and feature Oakley’s F3 anti-fog technology. Pure PLUTONITE® lens material filters out 100% of all UVA, UVB and UVC while offering unrivaled impact protection. Interchangeable lenses for Oakley Splice goggles come in performance colors with premium options. All Splice lenses feature the unbeatable clarity of High Definition Optics®.

The Oakley Splice Goggles has an innovative frame design for enhanced comfort and breathability. These could very well be the most comfortable goggles ever created for winter sports. Oakley has done a lot of anatomical engineering with the end result being the O-Flow Arch which reduces pressure on the entire nasal area by tuning the distribution of contact forces to greatly enhance airflow. The skeletal support system works with the lightweight O Matter frame that will retain its flexibility even in extreme cold. And to further reduce pressure and augment comfort the frame is surrounded by a thick triple layer of fleece face foam with moisture wicking properties and the O Matter strap outriggers that keep everything evenly balanced with or without a helmet. The dual vented lens provides unsurpassed impact protection with unbeatable clarity to reduce glare and offer a fine tuned calibration of light transmission for improved depth perception. They have also been treated with a specially formulated F3 Anti-fog coating and offer 100% UV protection from all harmful rays. Oakley continues to set the mark for what you have come to expect from high performance precision eyewear with the Splice goggles.
The Oakley Splice Goggle keeps Oakley in the forefront of goggle innovation with a comfortable fit and full range of vision. The semi-flush lens geometry allows you to spot your landing easier than before. With the O Matter® chassis you’ll get a durable, yet flexible frame that contours and flexes for a consistent seal around your face. The triple layer polar-tech fleece face foam is soft and comfortable for premium performance. The Plutonite® lens reflects 100% of UVA,UVB and UVC in addition to harmful blue light.

Originally a crowbar cat myself, I am growing to love the new style and look of the Splice. I have noticed a lot more peripheral viewing with these, so that is a bonus. I also love how easy it is to switch out the lenses. Skiing in the Wasatch can sometimes get tricky. Driving up to the mountain it will be overcast then when you get to the bird it will be a bluebird day. Super simple to pop out the lens and change it accordingly. A+++++ for these goggles!
This is a good pair of goggles for the price. These have good peripheral vision and are durable. The Lens switching system is a bit of a pain, but it is fairly simple. If you are willing to spend a couple more dollars, than the Smith I/OX or the Oakley Airbrake are a much better buy as they come with a second lens. Both the Airbrake and I/OX have a much easier lens swapping system too.
These are awesome goggles-the peripheral vision is great. They fit well with my helmets that im using (smith) and the lenses are pretty easy to change. But-that being said, if I could do it over, I would have preferred the airbrake due to the easier lens change out.
I like the persimmon or the pink iridium for overcast days.
solid pair of goggles. i have the viper red with fire iridium. well worth the money. don't waste your time on cheap goggles. its your vision were talking about here. go for gold and pick up a pair of these oakley splice goggles. they dont fog up, due to the great ventilation. and the vision is great.
Great goggle, as expected, lens tint is as expected for blue bird days, used in more overcast and it was ok once you adjust but was tough for the back end of a bluebird day, couldnt see any contrast in the shade. Looks great, never fogs.
I had a pair of crowbars, they were sick but they pinched my nose a little bit. Picked me up a pair of these splices and now I can breath out of my nose. Oh ya they look super rad too, buy em.
These goggles are beyond amazing. Crystal clear, super comfy, little to no distortion. Plus the never fog and come in some sick color ways. I'd give it 10 stars if I could.
Have one pair for sunny conditions, and one for overcast days. Best fitting goggle, lenses are awesome! Never fog up on me, and they look sick! Get these goggles!
