Inaccurate counts

Rating:*
Inaccurate. For example, walked for .7 miles and got a count of 40 steps. On the return trip, the count was 749.
Tried it out for 3 days. Sometimes it gave accurate counts, but at other times, no step registered at all.

What's the point of having an innacurate pedometer?
