Kids loved this! We did too!

Just got back from a week of camping with our Cub Scout and his 4 1/2 year old brother. We had purchased a couple of these , just out of curiosity. When it was too rainy to grill one afternoon, we all had this Mac and Cheese for lunch. Even our picky eater LOVED it. Thought it tasted just like Stauffers! Not at all like the freeze dried stuff I remember 30+ years ago when I camped as a kid!

delicious

During a 6 day/5 night trip in the Grand Canyon a friend and I had a mix of Mtn House and another brand of dehydrated food. After a long day of backpacking you will eat just about anything, but it is still nice when it tastes great. Mtn House meals do taste great...my other brand meals didn't. The Mac&Cheese is delicious.

Not Kraft Mac & Cheese, but very good

Have used the Mac & Cheese a couple of times. Doesn't quite match the stuff at home, and is not my favorite freeze dried dinner, but it is still a good meal and I plan on using it again.

My go-to mountain house

You need to make sure you let is "cook" for more than indicated on instructions. Otherwise macaroni is not fully reconstituted.

Adequate when needed

About what you'd expect. Far from gourmet, but packs a good caloric wallop. Tastes OK on a mountaintop after a hard hike.
